We always enjoy The Thurston Co. Good food, friendly staff and the owners are always present and easy to talk with.. Matt works the kitchen and Kate is quite busy on the main floor with guests. The pandemic has caused a slow down in numbers of folks going out to eat, but TTC is usually full of happy diners.. Tell Heather at the bar we sent ya for a good cocktail!

Dining out during a pandemic is stressful, but we had decided to take the risk and so glad we chose Thurston as our restaurant of choice. Excellent meals all around, we had several appetizers and desserts as well. No mistakes but many standouts. The tempura cauliflower, fried chicken, etouffee, gumbo and halibut were delicious. The ricotta cheesecake was outstanding. All around, a perfect evening given the circumstances. Now to quarantine again to be sure we are healthy before venturing back!

Fantastic service with truly gourmet food and ambiance! We sat on the terrace out front and the owner brought out a sweatshirt as the temperature cooled. Free desserts arrived due to a miscommunication about a food allergy, quickly corrected, and the owner arrived to offer delicious desserts, gratis!

This was our second visit to Thurston's and there is one comment to share.
Our suggestion is that servers double check the orders for 1. timing and 2. content (review the order).
On our first visit, this past winter, we waited for maybe 30 minutes for the appetizer. When we asked the waitress about that, she realized she hadn't entered that order correctly. Okay, she corrected that.
On our second visit, this past week, we ordered soup and mussels for appetizers. The soup arrived, okay. We were hoping to have the mussels for appetizers, too and were waiting. Finally the mussels arrived at the same time the entrees arrived. So that was awkward... a bit crowded on the table and there were two warm meals to consume rather than enjoy one (the mussels) slowly and then have an entree. I'd ordered a burger with cheddar cheese. After I bit into it, I realized it was bleu cheese.... well, I'd already bitten into it so I figured... just try it. So I did. I am not really a fan of bleu cheese so it was a bit disappointing. Thus our suggestion to review details about how orders are made/served.
Those are the details that we noticed. Thank you for asking. The servers are pleasant, the ambiance is lovely, the seating is comfortable and the food is good.
