The Bar Room and Restaurant at the North Branch Inn serves a concise menu that is consistently changing. We get our product mostly from people we know personally. Our small open kitchen is in our 150+ year old bowling alley and our deliveries from the farms come through the front door. The Bar itself stocks a solid list of beer, wine, a signature cocktail list, and predominantly local products.

We arrived 30 mins early for our hotel reservation in dumping rain. Brittany immediately greeted us outside in rainboots and with an umbrella asking us if we needed help. She said, "Come on in. Your room is all ready!" We were greeted with a package of cookies and directions to our room. Within 3 mins there was a knock on our door and there was Brittany with a seasonal welcoming cocktail. The room was amazing! We are in the process of restoring our own 150 yr old farmhouse so we absolutely loved the thought and attention in every detail and were inspired for some decorating ideas! We had dinner in the Tavern again early for our 5 pm reso as we were attending a concert at Bethel Woods that evening. The food and the staff amazing! We are originally from California and the food and the service we received rivaled some of the best restaurants we have visited in San Francisco but with a better down to earth approach. The value of the meal amazing! When we couldn't finish every bite, the staff accommodated us by packaging up our left overs to be picked up the next morning in the hotel office. We were off to our concert in plenty of time. In the am, we were again greeted by an awesome and friendly staff truly interested in our stay and how could it have been better. We enjoyed awesome coffee and a seasonal apple muffin. Brittany told us to call anytime and visit again and provided a listing of sister properties for our future travels. North Branch Inn is truly our go to spot for future getaways! Thank you Brittany and staff!

We had an amazingly good meal here. The trout was expertly charred and so juicy. The cauliflower was surprisingly tender and spiced perfectly. The strawberry shortcake was just the right finishing touch. One of us had a delicious Luxardo cocktail. The service was warm and the ambiance in the backyard was relaxing. Loved it all around. Will recommend it to friends and do hope to come back.

There was some confusion at registration due to our being moved to another hotel due to a corporate reservation. While that place was wonderful (9 River Road) we weren’t offered any sort of comp. Justine and Andrew were amazing and the food was incredible. Great service and nice breakfast! Will absolutely return!

The North Branch Inn was fantastic. From the delicious cocktail with the singed rosemary that added a delicious note, to the staff accommodating a patron with celiac disease (gluten free), the entire meal was delicious. It was a great date night with my husband. The staff was warm and welcoming, and getting to sit in the bowling alley with a view of the kitchen was fun. The smoked ricotta appetizer was amazing, and the trout was perfectly deboned and cooked perfectly. the steak was a tiny bit salty, but that would be the only negative. Planning to come back bringing friends!

Overall the experience was excellent. The food was perfectly seasoned with bold flavors—one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The squash appetizer was a real standout as well.
Drinks were on point and the staff as always was super friendly.
The desert course didn’t rise up to the level of the rest of the courses. Otherwise top notch.

Our dinner was excellent! We had the squash and Rangoon apps. The squash was good though I didn’t expect it as a slice. I found the Rangoon a bit bland, though very crispy. Both salads were really good. The highlight for me was the steak: perfectly prepared and one of, if not the best, I’ve ever had. I would order it again in a heartbeat! My husband had the risotto. He liked it a lot, but I think pasta dishes are the one weak spot at the North Branch. Desserts were both amazing! I would love to have these again as well.
The service was friendly and the right amount of attention. I hope you’ll decorate a bit for the holidays, so it feels a little festive - but that’s a quibble.
We’ve gone out for dinner twice during the pandemic. Both times to the North Branch. We’ll be back! Thanks so much!

Tasting menu, we didn’t go for the drink pairing option as well. Starters were simple but effective, we both found the salad a little too vinegary which hid the fresh flavours buried underneath, but our mains (steak frites and river trout) were both outstanding, and rounded off for the win.

Strolled the lush gardens and relaxed by the stream before chef and manager greeted us. We appreciated the comfortable dining room with a view of the bowling alley and kitchen. Enjoyed the professional server who explained the many options on the prix fix menu while the kitchen bustled with quiet intensity as our dishes where prepared. The food tasted fresh from the garden with herbs and gentle spices along with flourishes of summer nostalgia from the obviously talented chef who explained that he hopes to reflect the season outside on his plates both in produce and color!
Can’t offer any suggestions for improvement especially for true gnocchi. Puffs of flavorful goodness. Look forward to coming again.

Very nice waitress and the food is interesting but very expensive and would have preferred some items that weren’t in a fixed price menu. The drinks were the least interesting and would have lived a bottle of wine with an expensive meal
