We are a historic motor court first opened in 1938 and repurposed in 2011 into a Restaurant, Bar, Music Venue and Artisan Enclave. Monterey Court Cafe features American comfort food with a focus on local fare. Our menu includes a host of offerings for any palette. 100% Angus burgers, pulled pork, grilled salmon, vegetarian options and even pot pies. Tuesday through Sunday we feature on our courtyard stage music acts and events both local & national, and sometimes even global. From your seats, patrons enjoy not only a great show, but a gourmet menu of dining delights, craft drinks, brews, and wines. Most seats are under cover but all are shaded with cooling mists in the summer and numerous heaters in the chilly months to keep our audience comfortable. We have seating for 245 at tables with another 50 at the bar and scattered throughout the courtyard. Sunday mornings we offer a special brunch menu with musical accompaniment.

Booking Notes:
Most concerts are held in the climate controlled courtyard. Many tables are covered but all are shaded. The system is set up to give early reservations the seats nearest the stage. After the 1st 125- 150 reservations the system will give you a table directly north of the stage. The sound experience here is exactly the same as facing the stage, but you will be looking at the back of the performers. If you have a preference as to where you would like to sit, please leave that in the notes section.

Frequently Asked Questions- Do you allow outside food or drinks?
- Our policy has changed. We no longer allow outside food or drink to be brought into our restaurant including the courtyard. This includes birthday confections. We will be happy to prepare a cake or confection for your event here with at least 3 days notice however. And as always, anyone requesting a dessert on their birthday is offered a complimentary one from our regular offerings.
- Do you allow dogs in the courtyard?
- Yes we do as long as they are on a leash and always under the control of their owners. Seating for you , your guests, and your dog will only be in the tree section. We do not allow dogs in any of the covered areas. Aggressive behavior by any animal however is not allowed and they will need to be removed immediately.
- Where is parking?
- We have room for 23 vehicles inside the Court. Parking is allowed on 14th avenue, in the alley behind our location, and on Laguna Street, however be sure that you are not blocking any driveways or you may get a ticket.
- Can I smoke or use electronic cigarettes in the courtyard?
- No, smoking or vaping is not allowed in the courtyard. We do have a smoking area located just outside and to the west of the south gate to the courtyard, or you may step outside of the fence to the Miracle Mile side of the property. Smoking is never allowed in any building or within 20 feet of any doorway. Marijuana smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property per ARS. 36-2851
- So I'd like to make a reservation for a table. Where can I get the tickets for a show?
- While most shows are free and require only a table reservation, shows with a cover charge will require payment at the time of your table reservation via this reservation service. Table is then secured for the entire evening. Once you have made a reservation you can cancel it at the same site if need be. No refunds for tickets without cancellation 48 hours or more before the show.
- What if I don't know what seat section to select?
- No worries, the system is set up to give you the best available table matching your party size. If you have a section you would prefer to, or prefer not to sit in, just make note of it in the notes section.
- How can I add seats to an existing reservation?
- You may add additional seats either to a free show or a charged show by going to our website montereycourtaz.com and clicking on reservations at the top of the page. Add (and/or pay for) the additional attendees and then in the notes box let us know that this is an addition to the reservation (name & time) that has already been placed. We will be sure your table reflects the change.

Reserving a table on the website is very easy and if changes need to be made, Kelly is very accommodating. The food is tasty and the bartenders and wait staff deserve a good tip. The entertainment has always been really good. If I have time, I enjoy shopping in the stores surrounding the courtyard. The dance floor is small with a new wooden floor that already has some wear and tear.

My husband and I have always enjoyed ourselves for an evening out that included visiting Monterey Court. Always good music, food and there is a dance floor. I wish the dance floor was a bit bigger, but at least there is a dance floor and we use it.

I was one of the first people to arrive on Sunday and probably one of the last to eat. I love Monterey Court because of the music and the people and I always order food to support the venue but this experience was the worst. I finally went to the bar to get coffee with Irish Cream only to find out that the bar was "Out" of Irish Cream on Saint Patrick's Day! Unbelievable!

I always enjoy going to Monterey Court. I enjoy the good food, the wonderful service, the friendly and helpful staff, that almost every time there is a band which is always interesting and that the ambience is comfortable and nice. My friend and I have been going about at least once a week. My friend just moved to Tucson and I turned him on to Monterey Court and he said that he wants to and try everything on the menu. Monterey Court is a fantastic, fun, delicious and just a good time always.

Our poor waiter was extremely overworked. The place was short-staffed and Christian did his best but had far too many tables to serve. While we understand and were patient, it made for a lot of delay in the service. Other than that, we had a great time and will be back.

We are an older couple visiting Tucson for the first time wanting to hear some local music and grab a bite to eat. All staff we encountered were friendly, kind, and attentive. It was fabulous! I would add that adding an extra server would help with the wait time of drinks etc. It was very busy. The food was good but I would have liked my salsa hot. It had wonderful flavor just too mild. You may of had hotter salsa but our server was too busy and didn’t get back before it was gone.

Took my Philly friend there & now she has moved to Tucson & brings her out of town visitors.
I love that it is outdoors & has ceiling fans & misters in the summer & heaters in the winter.
There is a great selection of live music & I now realize I need to check your calendar first has you tend to have the same act that plays at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix the next day, so I don’t need to drive to Phoenix.
I love the Caesar salad & others live the mahi mahi tacos & burgers.
We both loved the ice cream.
I can’t think of anything to change except inviting the Kinda Kinks band to play there. They played there years ago.
M parking is now good with the spaces just south of the place in the alley.
And the service is always attentive.

Our server informed us when we were seated that she was the only server on duty and that she would try hard to serve everyone efficiently. Well, she did just fine, actually a fellow helped deliver food to some folks. The music was great and the food was excellent.

I always enjoy the delicious food at Monterey Court. I was there by myself last time but when I have had friends go with (3 to 10 of us) they also rave about the food. The only reason I did not give the service a 10 is that I had to ask for more water since I didn't see my server for quite some time. I got my drinks and food pretty quckly even though the place was packed.
Corey our entertainment for the evening was fantastic. He has always put on a wonderful show and I go to see him at Monterey Court every time he is there.

I live stream the music often, but this was my first time being at Monterey Court. Every thing about it was excellent. I had no idea from the live stream that it was outdoors but I loved it! Hands down! Monterey Court is the finest year round outdoor music venue and restaurant in town. The patio is climate controlled with misters when it’s hot and ceiling heaters when it’s chilly. Sound is extraordinary and they strive to give patrons a great experience. It’s working
