Thanksgiving Day Dining

Family Dining

Thanksgiving is often the underappreciated holiday with all the hustle and bustle to put up the December festivities. It can be a hassle to cook for large amounts of extended family, and many places are closed that day, making it harder to find somewhere to eat if you don’t want to cook. That’s why we’ve compiled a list to make even the search for a restaurant easy. Here are just a few of our favorite San Diego restaurants that are featuring Thanksgiving inspired menus on this special holiday.

Acqua Al 2 is a Downtown San Diego institution, bringing a taste of Tuscany to the Gaslamp Quarter through its authentic menu and charming ambiance. Thanksgiving is also given a hint Italian flavor with their four-course Thanksgiving Dinner menu, for $45 per person. All four dishes may also be ordered a la carte, giving guests the opportunity to orchestrate their own holiday feast.

Bernard’O Restaurant, a fine dining venue that specializes in French cuisine, also gives patrons the choice of a prix fixe menu or a la carte as their two Thanksgiving menus. The prix fixe menu comes at a cost of $32.50 for adults or $14.50 for children. Open from 11:30am to 7:30pm on Thanksgiving Day, Bernard’O Restaurant invites customers to spend the holiday with their family.

Bertrand at Mister A’s gives traditional American cuisine French and Mediterranean twists and features an amazing view of Downtown San Diego from their dining room. This restaurant is also offering an alternative to Thanksgiving at home with their Thanksgiving Prix Fixe menu available at a price of only $59.50 for adults and $25 for children. Diners can enjoy this menu from 12:30pm to 9:00pm, as they enjoy the amazing view that this restaurant offers of Downtown San Diego.

Bully’s East, a casual steakhouse, offers an option that is easier on your wallet if not on your waistline. A turkey dinner is available this Thanksgiving at a price of only $17.95. Enjoy this steal of a meal on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 8:00pm or order from their list of catering options by calling the restaurant for more details.

George’s California Modern, with their stress on fresh and seasonal ingredients, is answering Thanksgiving wishes for carnivores and vegetarians alike, with a list of separate appetizers and entrees for vegetarians. There are many options that are also available to be made vegan. This menu can be ordered a la carte, with no fixed price, and no limits!

Hexagone brings a blend of French and Californian cuisine to Thanksgiving dinner with their Thanksgiving Day menu, available from noon to 8:00 pm. This menu is also a la carte, offering diners the choice to build their own meal from a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we hope that this list will get diners thinking of new traditions that incorporate some of these festive restaurants.
