Frequently Asked Questions- Do I need a reservation?
- Our tearoom is small and cozy. If you would like to have Afternoon Tea or High Tea with us, please make a reservation. We are not able to accommodate walk-ins for Afternoon Tea. Of course, our EatMe!/DrinkMe! counter offers an amazing selection of items, no reservations needed! You are welcome to enjoy your snacks and drinks on the patio, but during the summer months the tables in the tea room are reserved for Afternoon Tea service only.
- How much is the Afternoon Tea or High Tea service?
- You can find out more information about out tea services on our "memus" page. Simply click on the service you are requesting to see what our menu options and prices.
- Can you accommodate a large group of people?
- Due to Covid19 - we currently cannot accommodate parties or large groups (more than 6 people).
- Can we meet a Wonderland character in the tearoom?
- No. We do not offer character meet and greet.
- Can we expect a Disney like experience?
- Alice in the Village has no affiliation with Disney. We are a Tea Room and we do not offer a “Disney experience” like rides or attractions.
- Can you accommodate food allergies?
- Unfortunately we can't accommodate food allergies requests. If you have a certain food allergy, we will not be able to guarantee an allergen free food. Our other location at Foxboro MA is able to accommodate some food allergies.
- What is Afternoon Tea?
- Afternoon tea is a delicious three-course meal served on a tiered stand. It’s a filling meal that is sure to satisfy even the most voracious appetites! The bottom tier is full of hearty savories that can include different types of unique sandwiches and quiche. The middle tier holds freshly baked warm scones with fruit preserves and devon cream The top tier overflows with delicious and decadent sweets and desserts guaranteed to leave a smile on all our guests. And of course a pot of tea!
- What is a Themed Tea?
- Throughout the year, we offer special themed tea services. While we will always remain an Alice in Wonderland tea room, our food and desserts will be inspired from other great characters in literature or popular culture. (We wish we could transform the decor for each special event!) Check our menus page for more information.
- Can we share an Afternoon Tea or Themed Tea service?
- We have designed our tea service to be enough food for one person. If you would like to share, then we will be obliged to charge you a shared plate fee of. We really appreciate your understanding of this annoying policy.

Wonderful service and ambience. The ratio of sweets to sandwiches was unbalanced in my perspective. Many treats, such as cupcakes, brownies, some other sweets and very little tea sandwiches. Even the treat loving kids (two of them) said it was "too sweet". Lovely place though and a very gracious and wonderful server! Thank you.

The food and drinks were great. Our waitress was very attentive; no complaints. The decor was adorable!
Suggested improvements: It took a bit of time for us to be acknowledged (and we were right on time), to the point where I had to stop someone to ask if we were standing in the right place.
Our reservation was at 2:30, so while we were there, it appeared that they might have been preparing items for the next day. Consequently it got quite noisy from the kitchen with what sounded like mixers going while we were trying to converse. Maybe a door between the kitchen and dining area would help.
All in all, though, it was lovely.

I was highly dissapointed for the cost. I brought two-7yr old girls to see Alice, and no staff was dressed up. After asking if they did roleplay I was told "Sometimes". I feel like I was robbed. Will never recommend this place to anyone and will in fact turn them away.

Server Kelly helped make our experience delightful. She was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. My daughter and I had 1 pm reservations for Easter Sunday. The server was in grubby jeans, the small restaurant area was dark and drab. I loved the decor and Disney theming and the overall experience that I gained from going to tea there. We really enjoyed our first experience at Alice in the Village Mystic & have already booked a 2nd Tea (Wizards) in the Foxboro location. I could have easily given a "10" in all areas but there were a few things that weren't exactly 10 worthy: While the food quality was excellent, a few of the items listed on the menu were not included on our trays. This may have been because they were out (we were there on the last day of Wonka) but it would have been nice to have known that in advance. In some cases, there were substitutions (i.e. potato salad for pasta salad) but in other cases (chips, grapes) nothing was substituted. Tough with kids! Also, the servers were great & helpful, but clearly overwhelmed. Finally, the ambiance is charming but I think the tea room needs a little refreshing. It felt on the cusp of being rundown & in need of a good cleaning/repaint. In normal times, I might even give less than a 9 for these, but in the pandemic, we're all doing our best & I suspect that plays into the minor issues. Such a wonderful concept & fun for all ages - can't wait to return for the different themes!!

This was a very cute experience. Pricey for what it is but I understand the tourist area and whatnot. The manor thing that disappointed me was that not even 10mins after we received our tier or snacks we were asked if we wanted boxes to go and of it was ok to bring the check. I felt so rushed. For a $60 experience for my daughter and I, I felt rushed and it wasnt even busy. I did not appreciate that. But other than that its a cute little tea party. I wish the tea pots were more decorative. Overall okay experience but I wouldnt want to spend $60 on a 15minute experience, and I didnt.

Our experience at Alice in the Village was perfect! The Around the World in 80 Days theme was so well thought out and the food was delicious and filling! We had an entire box of treats leftover to take home!!

What an amazing experience! A friend and myself took our daughters to tea. The food was excellent and the girls had an amazing time. A little pricey, but well with the expense. I highly recommend this for adults and children alike.

Great service and ambiance. We felt like we were transported over to wonderland. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. It would’ve been even better if they had more variety of options to choose from on the menu, or even a la carte service. A little pricey on the food but coming here was really for the experience and putting a smile on your kids face.

I went with 5 of my friends. As adults we dressed up in Alice in Wonderland costumes and had a blast. We can't wait to go back for a different themed tea party. A definite must in Mystic.

Allice in the Village is a GREAT tea house! The luncheon tea was outstanding. Delicious food, very nice tea selection, and outstanding wait staff. I took my wife there for her birthday and we have a wonderful experience enjoying an afternoon tea. The chocolate chip scones were out of this world, and Kellie took outstanding care of us. Definitely worth repeat visits.

Super fun time at Wizards High Tea with my Mother and Sister from NJ. The attention to little details and spells was really cute. This was my second visit and I really have enjoyed it both times. Jessica (I think) was our server both times and she's lovely...attentive and thorough, pleseant and fun! Everyone there is very nice.

Enjoyable but expensive for quality of food and amount of tea served. The croissant for the egg salad sandwich was stale and roast beef wrap had almost no beef ……. the chocolate caldron supposedly had a filling which would tell you a wizard power…….um no ours didn’t

We are regulars here and have never had a real complaint (tho we do often joke about the frosting staining our tongues a weird color. Green this time for instance) but we wouldn’t change a thing. Definitely a favorite for a girls afternoon. We look forward to the next special tea event

Overall this experience was really fun for my friends and I. However we were a bit disappointed in the sandwiches as there was a variety but we felt they weren’t of the quality we thought we were paying for. Other than that the desserts were amazing, the tea was great and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Thank you!

Tables needed painting. Items were old..like tea cart.
Some sandwiches were not fresh( esp chicken salad sandwich).
Desserts were good.
Child's portion not at all a good value. Too expensive.
Servers,at least, should dress as a character from Alice.
This is DEFINITELY not a place to treat a young grandchild under the age of 14 or so.

I gave my daughter (age 28!) this experience as a Christmas gift! we absolutely loved it! Our server Kelly was charming and attentive. The food was plentiful, creative and delicious! The desserts were magical and amazing! The scrumptious teas hit the spot on a 10 degree day! Thank you for a wonderful time and we will certainly be back!!!!
