On Princes Street, inside one of the most interesting shops in Yeovil, is The Emporium Cafe. We serve delicious food and drinks Monday to Saturday with an extensive menu including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Brunch, lunch and afternoon tea served every day except for Sundays, when we close. If you’d like afternoon tea, you MUST add this detail to your booking in the notes section as pre-ordering is essential for afternoon teas. Rustic, homecooked, interesting food, great coffee, amazing cake.

Another lovely trip to the cafe and this time to try the “before noon tea” which was delicious! We swapped the blueberries/creme fraiche on the pancakes for maple syrup and it came with extra bacon too. The croissant and scones would have been perfect with some butter and jam but difficult to eat without! A real feast though and would definitely come again.

The staff were nice but didn’t know if my coffee was decaf when delivered and said they’d find out but never did so have it to my friend. A choice of sandwich on the kids afternoon tea would be nice as you know what they’re like. We had vouchers so was really happy but I would have been disappointed if I’d paid the price on the vouchers.

Took my mum there for afternoon tea for her birthday , unfortunately one of the sandwiches she bit into had a long hair in it which needless to say was quite off putting . I did think a deduction on the total bill might be offered but it was not , only the service charge . It was a shame as the setting is lovely there and the service was good .

Lovely cafe, and lovely food! But three of us ordered paninis which cost £9.50. We also had a glass of tap water. We realised afterwards that we had each been charged £9.97. Not sure why this is, as I am sure you are not charging 47p for a glass of water!!!

Have been here before and loved it, but my experience this time was not good. Was really disappointed in the food - had open steak and Stilton sandwich (which I’d had previously) , but unfortunately the food was barely warm. First time i had ever been.The place was nice. Food ok. The customer service poor. I had booked a table for a birthday treat. Arrived on one to meet us or take to table. No one explained if it was table service or order at bar. No Conversation from staff when tried talking. paying time no one asked if we enjoyed No one said thank you for coming or even bye. We were recommended to visit by friends. Unfortunately on the day we went for coffee and cake our experience was not a good one! Firstly we booked our table online and on arrival were told they had not received our booking. Secondly, we were told it was table service but we waited so long we had to go up to the counter to order. When our coffee and cake finally arrived the older waitress who served us proceeded to spill half the coffee in the saucers and on doing so pointed to the serviettes on the table for us to clear it up! Overall our visit was a little disappointing.

Few points taken off because even though I had booked online; when I arrived there was no table booked. Luckily, it wasn't too busy so no problem. This will not stop me from eating there again and, in fact, we popped in for a nice coffee this morning

We visited your cafe on Christmas Eve. The service was great as usual. We ordered 2 large breakfasts, 1 medium and an Eggs Benedict, also 4 latte’s.
The quality of the food was great but unfortunately nothing was hot enough. The eggs Benedict sauce was cold which made everything else on the plate cold and the 3 other breakfasts were very tasty but only Luke warm. The 4 lattes were also only Luke warm and you could drink them down straight away.
Having said this, you were accommodating with swapping breakfast items which people didn’t like for something that they did which was very appreciative. It was busy and with being Christmas we didn’t like to complain. I would certainly come again as we had a lovely lunch with you the previous week which was incredible.

Delicious tasty food in a lovely setting. We felt service was a bit random, one minute a very nice chap was trying to do everything, then later about 4 people arrived helping out, were they staff, seemed all a bit odd! Not complaining but it gave an air of a bit of a muddle! Still love the place and will certainly come again

What a lovely place to eat, surrounded by antiques and bric a bac.
The service was the best we have had for a long while, a very happy, friendly lady greeted and looked after us.
Went on the eat out to help out scheme. We would not be prepared to pay the whole price, as expensive compared to other places,.
