This place is amazing. The Food is good, the drinks are good and the service is wonderful! Only tricky part was getting in with a wheelchair. You have to have a walking person go in the front door, and hold the back door open while someone drops off the wheelchair in the back (where there is no parking). A little confusing. But WELL WORTH IT to dine here!

First time & it was great. Delicious food, excellent service. The only suggestion I have is to place some signage at the top of the entrance hallway to give direction to the restaurant. Otherwise, it was delightful

The creative menu, quality, and presentation is superb. Each dish was simply delicious and it was such a pleasure to enjoy each dish without being stuffed. This was especially good because the desserts are not to be missed. Well worth a drive from Fredericksburg or Charlottesville to enjoy this unique restaurant.

The moment you enter the building and begin to see the signs, hear the music-you feel as if you’ve traveled to a speakeasy or old-time club. Once you reach the top of the stairs, the ambiance not only continues, but improves with the addition of lovely views from tables in or outside the restaurant. It was about dusk when we arrived and were seated on the rooftop patio which offered fire pit tables, high tops, and tables for 2-3.
The staff, even those who were not necessarily working with our table, were observant, and prompt, yet did not risk impeccable service with their attention to serving us quickly. We were able to request slight changes to accommodate our party’s dietary restrictions with no hesitation. The food. The food was delicious. We chose to eat from the Small Plates menu to get a larger selection, and this did not disappoint or break the bank. Throughout the evening we enjoyed Chicken, and beef empanadas (heavenly), Shrimp Ceviche (full of flavor) with plantain chips, Chili Con Queso with the same scrumptious plantains, and a modified Ropa Vieja with creamy rice and black beans.
We sipped on Passionfruit Mules and Mojitos, and Playa Sucia-dangerously delicious and refreshing-while a light breeze made its way through downtown.
We’ve already began making plans to return!

Hate to say that I didn’t love the sangria and much as I had hoped, but it’s definitely worth doing the flight to taste their range of flavors. Also ordered each of the tacos between my husband and I. We really liked the beef, fried shrimp and fried avocado. The prices is a little high for one though. The star of the show was the beef empanadas. 10/10. Wouldn’t be surprised if I placed a to go order for a few and gobbled them up in the car before I got home. The rooftop is a great experience.

We met friends and dined on the outdoor patio. It was a nice evening! We would have been slightly more comfortable if there was an umbrella or awning of some sort to shield us from the direct evening sun.
The food and drinks were delicious, although a little pricey. The service from the waitress was pretty in point. But we did have to wait a little long for food and cold drinks.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience. If the prices were cheaper we would go more frequently. But will have to reserve it as a “once in awhile outing.”
