In a beautiful setting by the River Tay, in the heart of Scotland, Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier is 5 minutes from the A9, just 70 minutes from Edinburgh or Glasgow. We are open all year, with private parking and disabled access.
On our doorstep are the Grandtully Hotel and Inn on the Tay, if you are looking for a savoury meal before or after visiting us. Frequently Asked Questions- Do I have to book online?
- Yes, if you would like a guaranteed table or Chocolate Tasting Flight. Walk-ins are welcome, but we may not have a table for you. If you only wish to visit the Chocolate Shop, Exhibition and Gift Shop, it is not necessary to book.
- Where should I park?
- Private car parking at rear with wheelchair-friendly spaces. The private car park cannot accommodate caravans and buses, but they are welcome to park on the main road in front of the shop or in Lageonan Road car park (next left, 2 minute walk).
- Do you have disabled access?
- There is easy wheelchair access from the car park into the building. A disabled toilet is located in the Chocolate Lounge on the same level as the car park. To reach the Chocolate and Gift Shops internally, there are 3 small steps for which a stair lift is provided and staff are trained to operate it. Ramps allow external access to the shops if a stair lift is not convenient. We would like to make your visit welcoming and stress-free, so please reach out and let us know what you need.
- Are you dog friendly?
- Certified Assistance dogs are permitted inside the Chocolate Lounge and Shop - staff will need to see a branded harness or other identification. Other dogs can be permitted inside only when kept permanently in a container enclosed on all sides (such as a travel crate). All well behaved and sociable dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables when kept on a lead. Water dishes and outdoor tap are available.
- The time I would like to book isn't displayed?
- That means there are no available tables or Chocolate Tastings, but you may still visit the Chocolate Shop and Exhibition. Please try a different time or call us to help.
- How can I increase the number of people in my reservation?
- Your table may be limited to a specific number of chairs. You can always call us on 01887 840775, and we will try our best.
- How do I cancel my booking?
- Tables may be cancelled by 10am on day of arrival using the link in your confirmation email, via the Table Agent website, or phone us on 01887 840775. If you have pre-booked a Chocolate Tasting, it is only refundable if cancelled more than 24 hours before the reservation time.
- What happens if I'm going to be late?
- Arrivals more than 10 minutes late will be considered cancelled although we will try to offer an alternative if available. Please call us as soon as possible.

- Are you child-friendly?
- Yes, children are most welcome! Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times. Please let us know if you need a highchair, or are bringing a pram as we need to allocate extra space. We do not have a "children's menu" however, there is a 10% discount on children's hot chocolates.

As local residents, Iain Burnett's Chocolate House is one of our favourite places around Aberfeldy.

Not only was everything we encountered contributory to a fabulous experience from ambience, your fabulous team, the tastes of every mouthful, the information and shop but the 1 thing which could have let you down was handled so superbly that it detracted not a jot.
For improvement: we had a confirmed booked for 1 flight, fortunately printed off to show, however we were not on your system which could've been a massive disappointment as we'd traveled from an hour north of Inverness for a birthday surprise treat & outing.
What we loved was being met by your two tall reception chaps who said 'not a problem, come with us' & seamlessly moved Steve off on his tour and me into the lounge with a menu. Both of them & the ladies in the shop were passionate, informative when we asked or commented on something, warm and engaging, seeing us clearly without being over the top in any way, the balance was just right. Showing the kitchen at work, seeing the chocolate sculptures, Steve as an engineer enjoying learning the detail of the process which he would never have imagined, the quality and quwirky decor so relaxing and easy to sink into and enjoy. And then the tastes, textures, visual delight in all that we consumed & saw on display - oh my, such elixirs, ecstasy, manna...any other chocolate now is going to pale into comparison with you as our yardstick. We intend calling in to buy Christmas presents as we head south pre xmas to family. Very many heartfelt thanks for an experience that was beyond our expectations.

It was a truly wonderful experience celebrating our granddaughter’s 7th birthday learning all about how a master chocolatier perfects his art in the highlands of Scotland! The staff were super friendly and Iain’s dulcet, informative voice accompanied our tasting experience all the way. Delightful experience, lovely staff and outstanding truffles! We tried the Tasting Flight 3 experience and the description and education that accompanied the chocolate really brought the day to life for us. Would definitely recommend.

It was fantastic! All staff made it all the 'cherry on the cake' experience for myself and my friend, whose 50th b'day treat it was. Upon my request, they even wrote Happy birthday messages on a wee card on the table and were really flexible with her hot chocolate request. Would Certainly highly recommend it!

We love coming here for sone chocolate delights. The drinks and scones and lovely and we always choose a few chocolates too. I think the addition of some sandwiches or soup to the menu would be great.

Staff were so friendly. We had a toddler in the group and the staff interacted with her rather than treated her like a nuisance.

Lovely time fab chocolate!
Only improvement would be parking for motorhomes had to park a good bit away.
However didnt take away from the overall experience & the walk after probably did us good after the chocolate consumed!

Our second visit, we didn’t do the tasting this time but thoroughly enjoyed our coffee, chocolate and cakes. An lovely lady serving our table, she was excellent and had the right balance of chatty, helpful and she engaged well with our party. Although the gluten free brownie was delicious, I would like to see a selection of gluten free cakes as it’s often the decision making that is part of the enjoyment.
