Great service and atmosphere aren’t the only reasons people have been making the trip to Tony’s for over 65 years.
Tony’s is the home of the World Famous Pepperloin Steak.
This beef tenderloin is marinated in Tony’s secret marinade, rolled in half-cracked black pepper, grilled to perfection, and drizzled with garlic butter. After one bite of this mouth-watering steak, you will never want steak from another restaurant again. It is so tender it can be cut with a butter knife, and it practically melts on your palette.
Tony’s offers 20 different homemade specialty pasta, along with a delicious selection of seafood and chicken dishes. With an extensive wine list with amazing by the bottle and by the glass selection, even the most discriminating wine aficionado will be in heaven.
For an after-dinner drink, one must try the Italian Delight, Tony’s version of the ice cream drink Brandy Alexander.
In January 2020, Tony’s moved 5 blocks north of it’s original location. Tony’s new location is at 102 West 9th Street on the corner of 9th and Piasa Streets. Tony’s new location features and elegant dining room, an outdoor patio, our Whiskey Bar and another large bar that features Tony’s full dinner menu and pizza in a more casual atmosphere. It is a favorite place in town for meeting friends for drinks, waiting for a table in the dining room, or bringing the family in for a casual dinner.

The food was excellent. The place was very busy and our waitress was covering at least 4 tables, maybe more. She forgot our appetizer but we told her that was ok, just don’t charge us for it. She was a little slow with drink refills but she was very busy trying to keep up. Overall we truly enjoyed it and our dinner was wonderful.

The food at Tony’s is always great. The service last night was not the best. All courses were were slow to come out of the kitchen. The bar service was extremely slow as well. And our waitress could not be seen anywhere. Not once did anyone come by the table to explain the slow service. My wife thought the Onion Soup was mediocre and I wanted Lobster Bisque and though it was on the menu, it was not available when I arrived. The waitress was attentive, but not very friendly. The ambiance was top notch. The New York Steak was a bit under seasoned. The salad was excellent and the blue cheese potato was good . It could have had a little more blue cheese.
Overall, I thought that the food could have been a bit better for the money. This was my first time to go there. The restaurant has received good reviews, but I might not come back.
