P.J. Clarke's: An American Establishment

Damn good food, simple as that. Sometimes we forget simplicity is the foundation to all great things. No fluff or complex flavor combinations that might confuse even the most matured palates, just good old American fare cuisine. This is what P.J. Clarke's offers guests: delicious, timeless American food.

An American institution, P.J. Clarke's has seen this fair country grow. Originated in New York City in 1884, P.J. Clarke's has witnessed NYC evolve into a business mecca, filled with skyscrapers and yellow taxi cabs, and yet the restaurant has not changed. The establishment still boasts the same red brick exterior seen by Johnny Mercer, an American songwriter and singer, when he wrote favorite songs like “One for my Baby” inside this old-time saloon. If you pass by the corner of 55th and Third, you will see the same thing Mercer saw when he walked in to P.J. Clarke's for the first time.

P.J. Clarke's soon spread and the establishment migrated westward, first to Chicago, then further to the desert oasis labeled Sin City. Inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, the owners have restored a classic bar, and now utilize the majestic 'Phoenix' bar as the centerpiece for the restaurant. Here is where master bartenders serve classic cocktails and local craft beers to thirsty patrons. Matching perfectly alongside the Phoenix Bar is the Raw Bar, the spot to feast on fresh clams and oysters. Featuring a marble counter top, guests can sit at the Raw Bar and watch skilled shuckers pry open these tasty mollusks with incredible ease.

Not only does P.J. Clarke's offer oysters and clams, flown in fresh from around the United States, the menu also showcases entrees that reflect the culinary specialties of American cuisine. Neither too modern nor traditional, the entrees utilize flavors that are new yet recognizable, such as traditional favorites like Free Range Chicken Pot Pie or an enormous 40 ounce Porterhouse (probably best shared!). And because no Amercian-inspired menu is complete without a signature burger, there is P.J. Clarke's Famous Cadilllac Cheeseburger – a certified Black Angus beef patty cooked to your liking and dressed with smoked country bacon and American cheese.

P.J. Clarke's in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace remains true to the roots of their original New York City counterpart. Rest assured that their familiarity is going to stay with their classic American establishment. With a lively atmosphere and delicious traditional American fare cuisine, this restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression on its diners.
