My family of five, including three children and a small dog, had a great experience. The food was 10 out of 10, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Between the five of us we had the baked salmon, fillet , and goat cheese salad. We sat on the patio with spectacular views of the lake. At the end of dinner to dears joined us right below the patio. Service is was perfect!

This is a beautiful restaurant, with a gorgeous view! There was soft music playing indoors, but we opted to sit outside in order to be ultra cautious. The deck has a partial view.

First time to dine there. Service was attentive and our waitress was very sweet. Food delivery was slow....not sure if the kitchen was slow or our waitress was overloaded. Bar and wine selections were ample with resort?park/lake themed drinks. Menu selections were varied and the food was very good, served hot, large servings. Husband had the chicken fried wild boar and I had the flat iron steak. we would both order those entrees again. It was our anniversary and the waitress and hostess wished us Happy anniversary as well as a delicious complimentary dessert! Ambiance was pleasant with a beautiful sunset view. It is a family restaurant and the space is open, high cathedral ceiling, lots of glass, wood and concrete...so it has the potential to be very loud when at full capacity. We will dine there again. Thank you for a lovely dinner!

A wonderful meal! I went Texas all the way with chicken fried wild boar. We had mudbugs and my partner had cod. Topped it off with a good Texas wine. The service was fantastic, the view out of this world, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Great job, Tammi and your amazing chef!

We had four meals at this restaurant over the weekend. I would have given the food a 9 or 10, except that a few items on the breakfast buffet were not warm. We asked about having something warmed up in the microwave and were told the chef did not allow microwaves. Seems strange that he would rather serve cold quiche than allow the use of a microwave.
In general the service was quite good. However, we had one waiter on Friday night that was not super attentive and forgot a few things we asked him for.
Overall, we really enjoyed the Overlook Restaurant. The views and ambiance are fantastic. Highly recommend going.

The food was delicious! We shared the goat cheese salad, I had the cod and DH had a filet. All cooked perfectly. We ate outside and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Servers seemed like they might be understaffed. Slow, but we were not in a hurry.

Great setting and view, but the food is over priced by a lot. We ate there two nights, and had an issue with supper both nights. The first night, my wife got bacon wrapped shrimp. The bacon was raw. We told them about it, and they said that they were going to remove it from the menu. The second night, we both ordered the beef tenderloin, cooked medium well. It was brought to our table barely medium rare. Again, we told them about it and the cooked it to our satisfaction, but there was virtually no flavor. I don't think they even used salt and pepper. Again, no adjustment, just an "I'm sorry." We paid full price for both meals which was $100+ each before tip. I'm not sure we will go there again.
