The staff was friendly. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Chocolate martini very good. The appetizers were excellent. I had shrimp cocktail. Nice big shrimp. My sister had the meat ball. Caesar salad was good. The fried green tomatoes chicken dinner all very good. I was our 2nd visit here. We will be back when we return.

Our waiter was a wonderful young man,but he did speak very softly.thats the only thing we had that was not a 10, he was kind, attentive and right on time, he was just a very quiet talker . We enjoyed Christmas dinner with friends from out of town. It was a wonderful Date night!!

What a lovely dining experience. The food was amazing! I had the Filet with a small crabcake. They were both cooked to perfection. We had the crab dip for an appetizer. I would recommend this restaurant for people who enjoy dining in a great atmosphere with amazing food and service

It was not busy at the restaurant the evening we dined. The service was great - we were checked on periodically, but allowed to enjoy our food and take our time without feeling like we needed to hurry. Anything we requested was brought to us quickly and questions about the food were answered. Our food was delicious - scallops and the salmon - and portion size was good. The salad, if ordering as a side salad, is too much and we shared it between 2 people. It was crisp and the dressing was delicious, just too much with the rest of the meal. I look forward to our next visit!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. Very cool place. We love history behind the diner. Food was fantastic. Service was excellent. Arin was our server and she was very knowledgeable and had a great smile. We highly recommend this place and will most definitely return.

First time to Schoolfield's. Took hubs there for his birthday. We are from South Boston so new to us. Service was great, she allowed us to linger over our meal. Food tasted wonderful. I had the green fried tomato chicken. Hubs had a steak. Must be a neighborhood place as very quiet until about 8:30 when the place filled up and everyone was having a great time drinking and talking. Will definitely return!

We love taking guests to School field Restaurant because we know we will be served an excellent meal in a convenient, cozy, historical setting. One of the favorite entrées is the 6 Oz. filet with a 2 oz. Maryland crab cake and mashed potatoes. Thanks to owner, John, for his long-range planning, vision for quality, and dedicated hard work

Entree selections were adequate, as well as portions. Nice sides. Biggest complaint is that the food was WAY oversalted! Couldn't even eat the mashed potatoes they were so salty, as were both of our entrees. Quaint little place, wish them well.

Desert menu could use some work. For a restaurant like this wants to be, a chocolate selection is really needed. Full time. Others like key lime pie, etc can come and go but the choc must be the anchor. Unless you're feeding elementary school kids, lose the pine-app upside down. Seriously.
