Wilhelmina Restaurant is a casual, elegant restaurant inside a beautiful romantic "speakeasy city garden", located downtown Oranjestad in the Wilhelminastraat across the Gerrit Rietveld City Park. Just walking distance away from the Renaissance hotel and a couple minutes by car from the high-rise area. High-quality ingredients from around the world will be served to you by our dedicated team. We will welcome and pamper our guests with excellent food and service. Wilhelmina Restaurant offers a place to dine, celebrate a party or just having a cocktail at the bar.

We went to Wilhelmina based on all the reviews and recommendations. The patio was beautiful, and the servers were amazing. We were a party of four. We started off with their Gorgonzola salad which was good. we had ordered their Braised Beef Short Ribs, Indonesian Roasted Pork, Gamberetti Pasta and their Catch of the Day special. The food for the most part was okay. The pasta dish was overly salty and hard to eat. The meat dishes were probably the better of the entrees, but nothing special or memorable. We finished off with their Creme Brulee and an espresso. We requested our bill and paid for it using our credit card. I have noticed that Aruba doesn't use the handheld internet card readers that is used elsewhere. The host returned and had said my card was declined. I told her that that is not possible and to try again. She advised that they tried twice. I had never been more embarassed then at that moment. So now we had to scramble o try and muster enought cash to pay for the bill. I had contacted Mastercard, and they advised the card was declined because the host enetered the wrong CVC number!! Twice!! This was unbelieveable, and why we will never go back to that restaurant again. To know that my card was in good standing, and never having any issues using it at any of the other establishments during our stay here is unbelievable.

Our reservation was for 6:00 pm the same time the. Restaurant opened. With all the cruise ships in we got there about half hour early as did about 6 other couples. My wife and I chose to go across street and have a cocktail instead of waiting on the sidewalk in the heat. I think they should offer this as they have a great restaurant

This is my favorite restaurant in Aruba.
I so miss the cream of celery soup. That soup is the bomb! Hoping they have it for my reservation coming up.
My husband said the cream of cauliflower was unbelievable. I’ll have to take his word for it. LOL.
We were a party of six. For appetizers we had, the cauliflower soup, shrimp ravioli (still thinking about this) watermelon salad and the short rib ravioli. Our table was silent during the appetizers which should tell you just how much everyone was enjoying their food. YUM!
For dinners we had:
Short ribs, 2-Filet, 3 of our group seafood.. to say it was all amazing would be an understatement. Our one friend said his seafood was the best he’s ever had.
The only small thing I miss was the attention to detail from the wait staff. They were slow to see if we wanted another drink and they used to come around wiping the waters glasses. Now they use cardboard coasters. Small thing but, but it made it more elegant. This would never stop us from coming or recommending Wilhelmina.
All and all I can’t wait for Friday when we come back. The best restaurant in Aruba.

Excellent service and value. Soup choices are excellent. Shrimp with watermelon made as a main meal is our favorite. Outdoor atmosphere with sails above is a great change.

Friends who come frequently never mentioned this place but I booked dinner based on online reviews. Wow! It was absolutely amazing so in my mind, it’s a hidden gem! Everything was top notch. The setting is amazing but be forewarned, after a cocktail or two, you might get lost coming back from the ladies room, it is deceptively huge! You will love it!
