It’s fabulous sitting on the rooftop, breathing in that fresh air, enjoying a libation and the incredible views. If you are a hotel guest–YAY! You get priority entry. This is very important because entry is reservations only, and we are currently operating with limited occupancy to insure the safety of our guests and staff.

Frequently Asked Questions- COVID-19
- -Those showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or whom have been exposed to a COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days may not enter. -High-risk or sick individuals should remain at home. -Our team will be wearing masks and gloves throughout service and will continually sanitize high contact areas. -All food and drink will be served in single use containers.
- Is Quirk Rooftop 21+?
- Quirk Rooftop is a 21+ after 7pm daily. Under 21 patrons are permitted during the hours of 5pm - 6:30pm. Pets are not permitted.
- Are reservations required?
- -Reservations for Quirk Rooftop are required during this season and can be made with 3 days advance notice. -Reservations can be made for 1-4 people. Groups up to 6 people can make 2 reservations spots are available. -Reservations are good for 1hr 15 min so that staff can sanitize high contact areas prior to the next reservation.
- What is the attire?
- -We are a completely open-air environment, exposed to all the elements. It gets hot, it rains, it gets cold... We encourage you to be comfortable and adaptable. -Per our city guidelines: All guests will be asked to wear masks throughout the hotel, elevators, when entering Quirk Rooftop and when ordering at the bar.
- What can we expect?
- -At the front entrance of the hotel, you will most likely be asked if you have a reservation for the hotel or the rooftop. If you do not have a reservation, you will need to make one for an open time slot, even if it is for the same day. -Seating is open seating, but we do ask that you remain at your table when not ordering at the bar or though our mobile app. -Single use menus will be provided. -Guests are asked to maintain physical distancing guidelines and keep 6 ft from other guests.
- What if it rains?
- In the case of rain, the same reservations will be accommodated downstairs in The Lobby Bar.

Yet again Mother Nature thwarted our 3rd attempt to FINALLY check off the QUIRK Rooftop on our RVA list. However, we could not have asked for a better night in The Lobby Bar. We dined, we drank, we imbibed on the decadent affogato with JiJi Frozen Vanilla Custard and Belle Isle Cold Brew Coffee Moonshine. The rain kept us from our goal, but we will keep returning to the QUIRK time and time again for a great mid-week date night.

Everything was lovely....except for the fact that we were told twhen we got there that our reservation was only good for 75 minutes. I missed that in the reservation process somehow! There were 4 of us celebrating a birthday and we had planned to spend a relaxed covid-safe evening, but by the time we figured out the scanned online menu, we only had time for a drink and one appetizer to share before it was time to leave. We went to another place to eat dinner, which was not the original plan.

Running a restaurant in a pandemic is tricky & everyone is still figuring it out. It was over 95 at 6:00pm and there are no umbrellas or shade of any kind up on the roof. They’re avoiding contact by having you come up to the bar, place an order and wait for table service. Food comes in to go packages, which is somewhat clumsy for what amounts to tapas-sized orders. They happened to forget our food order & it took close to an hour and a few complaints to get it. That’s most surprising considering how few people are allowed up on the roof to preserve social distancing. I’ve had great experiences at Q before, so I’ll just chalk this up to “pandemic imperfect.”

Didn’t order food that’s why we gave it a 5. Service was just okay, there were ants at the bar and if you want a drink you have to get up and get a drink possibly losing your seat. Value: We thought the drinks were about $3 to high on the prices. She had the Modern day Hemingway and I had the Honey beer. Ambiance: the music was very low, but the view was nice. Would I come back? It wouldn’t be my first or second option.

Didn’t order food. Servers weren’t available. Out of the frozen drink that day. Would be nice if you had a table reserved for your reservation. Some of the 2 party reservations were sitting at a 4 person sitting area. This left the 2 person tables available which did not accommodate my party. If you have reservation for a certain number of people you should be guaranteed a table for your party.
