My party of 3 had reservation for 7:15pm and we were seated immediately indoors so that was perfect. The restaurant was packed ( surprised us since this was a Thursday evening). Tables are closely situated to one another and we had to speak in raised voices. That is why I rated Ambiance as 8/10. Otherwise our experience was great. I would certainly come back and recommend to others.

This is a real gem tucked away in Wildwood Shopping Center. It's way more spacious than it appears to be from the front and has a good bar too. I've only been for lunches. The food is wonderful and great value. The staff are all friendly and professional. You won't be disappointed.

This is my 3rd time having the lobster and shrimp dumplings, which were still great! It's my first time having the pumpkin soup, which was perfect for a cold, rainy day. Very tasty and filling. My companion had the beet salad, which looked good, so I ordered it to take home to have with dinner. Very nice, especially the mandarin orange and fig bits in the salad. The service remains excellent - attentive without being overbearing. I'll be back!

Had 8:00 reservation for 3. We were eating and drinking at 8:50 and were told the cut-off was 9:00. We were not told what the cut-off was for (bar, food, desert, etc.) Kind of let the air out of the sails so we decided to wrap things up before we were chased out. I am glad we did not have an 8:30 reservation.

It's a great little place, and not corporate like just about everything else around. I'd generally give them a 10 but there were a couple hiccups this time. My cocktail took a while to appear, but when it did still no wine that my wife had ordered. (However, both drinks were good.) And one of our small plates showed up at the end of the meal; we mentioned it to the server, she said she would check, and then she never came back to tell us the outcome. Not a huge issue, just not a 10 this time.

When we arrived for our reservation we were told that the table was being prepared. When we were seated we asked for a larger table and were told that wasn’t possible because there were reservations for all the tables. Yet when the 4 top next to us was seated, there were only two people.

I thought the food was very good. Been going to raku for over 20 years. I would have liked seating at booth since we had as reservation at 5:00…. Pretty empty at that time. They sat us in tables in back where it felt dark, dingy alittle….. tables and chairs looked used and old. Anyways I would go back but maybe do carry out next time.

It’s entirely frustrating to make a reservation and speak with reception the day of to confirm reservation, arrive on time and truly get the worst two top in the restaurant by the door off the corner of the bar and pushed out into the foot traffic. The table at the window next to us may have been made a 6 vs a 4 also. It was not enjoyable to be bumped through out service. Save that mess of a table for a walk in who may not particularly care, and be happy they at least could get a table last minute.

We were a group of 10 and sat at tables in the middle aisle of restaurant, which Rakugaki staff kindly set up for us. Several of the more unusual dishes were deemed delicious, e.g., pumpkin soup, curry stew, fried oysters. The sushi was alright, but not outstanding in taste or underlying rice texture. The wait staff was courteous but not inviting or extra solicitous. The cost and value were about what would be expected for Wildwood shops.

After looking forward to experiencing this new restaurant, I was quite disappointed upon first entering. The young ladies hardly spoke English and did not welcome us at all. Long story short, the food was wonderful but the service was not. The last person the help us explained that they were short staffed and that the kitchen was small, crowded and maybe overwhelmed. I don't think she actually said that but this is what I summized. I hope the owner has more of a presence or hires a greeter. I wish you much success! I'll be back.

We had a lovely lunch. We indicated on our reservation that the meal was to celebrate a birthday, but nothing was done to make it special, even in a small way. In fact, we were at first seated at an awkward, tiny table in a high foot traffic area; our request to change to a better tale was granted only grudgingly. The food was good, but the unagi (eel over rice) was really disappointing. We love this dish, and have ordered it for the third time now, thinking it'll improve. It hasn't and we won't be ordering it again. Overall, Ragugaki is a decent restaurant, but unfortunately, we don't feel we can rave about it.

Despite having made a reservation, we did have to wait more than 20 minutes for our table and the restaurant was a bit loud. However, those were not deal breakers because the staff was very attentive and obliging and the food was terrific. A gourmet friend from out of town said it was the best sushi they had ever had. We will definitely return often.

The food was very good. They brought the main course to 3 out of 4 of us and the last dinner did notcome out until 15-20 minutes later when we were all done. Need to work on service. Although the waitress was very nice and apologetic

The restaurant is beautiful, the food outstanding, the staff very helpful. Most restaurants start out with some glitches. I truly thought everything was perfect. I
started sharing my wonderful experience with family and friends as soon as I came home. My only concern now is it will be hard for me to get a reservation.

Food was great. Pretty venue. Staff did not seem all that happy to be there. The greeter was civil at best. The restaurant was pretty empty but no one ever asked if we wanted drinks. Service in between courses was slow. Even getting the check took time. For a small venue the music was a little too loud. Though conversation was possible. Growing pains!

Service was ok. Seared sushi was cold. Not a good value for the money. Took a long time for our food to get to the table. It appeared that they gave one of my hursts food to another table, removed it and then delivered to my guest and the seared sushi was cold as mentioned above. My guest ordered a sashimi and was given the wrong item...we found out later that what was ordered was not available and was given something else rather than saying something up front.
