Check in was very smooth, the map could’ve been designed better with maybe some landmarks noted as reference; the tasting was as well put together as it could be given the current situation; the set up for the picnic tables was great; everything was clean and organized. Purchasing wine was a little tricky but we got there in the end. Very well done. A little pricy for what was received but, once again, understandable in the current situation.

This past time the seating in the tent was not as nice and not as warm as the previous time when were in the patio area not far from the singer. I was chilled most of the time, so I did not enjoy it as much. On the bright side with the breeze blowing through the tent, there was plenty of fresh air. We were at table 78. The water was turned off in the bathrooms in the barn, that was inconvenient. I thought that was the bathroom for all the patrons were suppose to use, so not my best visit.

The security personnel called us liars when we told him the security guard at the drive entrance said we could bring in water as long as it was for kids. He said it not once but twice. So completely unprofessional that I will never bring corporate clients to this winery

love the live music. did not try the food- brought our own. loved that all guests were wearing masks until they arrived at table. The young man who greeted our car to give us the paper directions had a mask around his neck but was not wearing it :( We, inside the car, were wearing ours to speak to him.
We went to the winery last Friday 7/3 and the other young man/greeter at that time, WAS wearing his mask. :) Thank you for a great time. It's fun to be around people but safely. Palmer family

When I asked for a glass of wine they gave me a sample cup and filled it up. Understand if this is what is typical but should have let me know as it was quite expensive for like an inch and a half of wine in a small sample cup. Ambiance was beautiful .

Overall a great job getting back open and entertaining. The wines are always great, the food truck rocks, and the music is fun. Recommend one easy improvement...the cheap plastic cups for wine are really disappointing. These are like rock bottom of the barrel quality but the wines are still normal full price. Recommend upgrading to a better quality plastic cup.

The food choices did nor reflect what was being advertised for the day. The food truck was out of the supplies needed to prepare meals. The grass was extremely tall- considering the circumstances of life right now- people are making improvisions to accommodate the public. You would think the winery will cut the crass every weekend. It was scary to have the grass near my table above my ankels in 98 degree heat!!!! The wine prices went up? But you are charging a $10 reservation fee that does not get used towards your purchase? I feel taken advantage of. The outdoor bathrooms are convenient, but- just because they are outdoors doesn't mean they shouldn't be cleaned. While everyone figures out what the new norm will look like- it would be nice to consider patrons safety and satisfaction overall. Take a walkthrough - as a patron- see if you are pleased.

This facility needs to get recycling bins in place ASAP. There is a tremendous amount of plastic(bottles and cups)being discarded daily. It's quite traumatic to see this. I hope the winery can address this issue by being environmentally conscious and recycle their plastics, cans and bottles.

I understand trying to prevent underage drinking but in the summer, it would be much easier if patrons could bring their own water to the lawn since it's outdoors and not all of the umbrellas are fully functional. Especially when people have been inside for so long, many people are not staying as hydrated as they should which is very dangerous and the water bottle sold on-site are smaller than most people's reusable bottles.

It’s definitely not the same, service was a lot slower and it was difficult for club members to get their wine before they were seated, but all understandable in this environment! There was a table with 6 adults and 4 children next to us, we left 45 min earlier shortly after they arrived because they were walking within 2 feet of us and we weren’t comfortable how close they were and how many of them there were . Up until then other families were respectful of the space and it was a very good experience . . They just weren’t following the rules . This was our first outing so I think I was Also being extra paranoid. So I didn’t affect the rating . Just letting you know some patrons don’t follow the rules

Didn't try the food so I can't rate that but the wine was solid and everything else was great. The weather was great, the winery and grounds were stunning, the service - from the check in table to the ordering/serving - was easy, quick, and friendly. I liked the reservation system, the website was clear and easy to use, the bathrooms were clean though the water pressure was extremely low, and I also liked that there was enough room between the tables to insure movement and proper distancing guidelines.

I thought we had booked a table tasting under the shade.. when we got there we sat in general seating at a picnic table just like everyone who walked in, had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. Im not sure why we booked a table for $10 to get a $10 voucher to have to order ourselves. I wont be coming back or hosting any events until things go back to open. If I make a reservation for a seated shaded tasting, I expect a seated shaded tasting.

Very nice Friday night at the Winery. We took our own picnic and reserved a picnic table in the lawn. There was live music. I would suggest that you bring a table cloth and also some other cups/glasses. The small plastic cups that they give you for your wine are not good.

My experience at the winery was very unpleasurable and distasteful. I was very excited about visiting the winery for the first time over the Valentine’s Day weekend. My initial contact with the staff at the front was great, we were assisted quickly and directed where to go and was informed that there were pre poured tastings available which was the reasoning for my visit. Once at the counter for purchasing the wine I inquired about wine tastings I was told by a woman at the purchasing counter that there were no wine tastings due to Covid but I was informed when entering the winery there were pre poured tastings. So I purchased glasses of wine of a single wine. Which I thought was odd since I was visiting for a tasting. Once going to the seating area where I was assigned I noticed other people had tasting flights. While sitting there enjoying my glass of wine with my partner I noticed other people coming to the seating area with tasting flights. I then returned to the purchasing counter and asked a gentleman about tastings and tasting flights. He informed me that there were tasting flights available for purchase. I was very upset that I was lied to by the first person who specifically told me there were no tastings. The first person could have informed me that there were tasting flights available for purchase. That situation really left a bad taste with me and tarnished my experience. This was my first time visiting the winery and possibly my last. I really wanted to have a great experience and future visits.

One thing, I wish we could’ve brought water into the facility, but I do understand why that policy is in place... But I think they should look into it more. Especially with summer coming. My wife and I are regulars at Bull Run Winery and normally we’d rate the experience close to a 10. However, this time we lost more than 30 mins of a 2 hour time slot just walking through the parking area (which was very Dar), waiting in line, and getting situated. We suggest specialty parking for Generals Club members and maybe a separate line as well. Other than this, all went well.

Overall experience was great! We had a lovely time celebrating our anniversary there. People were kind and helpful, wine was great, food was great, ambiance was great. The only thing to be improved is a source of water. When we entered, we were told to empty our water bottles and could refill them when we entered. But once we got in, the only place to refill them was the bathroom, which had very low water pressure and took too long. Small thing, though. We'll be coming back!

I visited Bull run Winery on 2/14. I was a bit dis-appointed with the set up. When I was thinking heated tent I was thinking bull run would have tables on cement not on mud & hay. Also the food truck was parked quite far from the main building, and I lost time visiting with my party. Also $20 to reserve a table, without the fee going towards wine seems a bit high especially when we were seated at first at a table with no heat lamp and the entire ground is mud & hay. Thankfully the host moved us to a table next to a heat lamp.

There could have been a bit more signage to communicate what to do and when, but wow - the staff went above and beyond to make this happen safely. The $20 reservation fee seemed high given that we're members and that it didn't become a credit to your food/beverages there. But we could see the amount of work done to make it happen and it helped us understand. Ally helped us solve a problem with another table, and graciously re-sat us and was simply the definition of perfect customer service. Thank you Ally! Thanks to Bull Run - we love you guys.

Bull Run has done a great job setting up a reservation service and safe sales area. This ensures that both the patrons and employees reduce their exposure risk. When we arrived and went to our table someone was already sitting there. They had clearly not reserved a table but were just hopping from each open table without reserving/paying. For those of us who did make a reservation and pay it was frustrating to witness this. Perhaps someone should do a check to ensure this doesn't take place.

Thank you for providing a beautiful outlet/get-a-way/experience during these times. I realize some of the limitations were in place to create a safe environment for all. I missed the baguette, but the meats/cheeses were very good quality. I like the reservation and we were give a fantastic location, the lower level of the covered patio looking out at the vineyards. I happen to be a brain injury survivor so I would have had difficulty if placed on the upper part with the series of tables. For future I do not know if there is a way to request the lower part, as I think it is the only area that would work for me. Sound is an issue as I cannot tune out any sound and I perceive it at a much higher volume that others and where I was...was excellent as the upper portion the music was way too loud for me. So this worked great... not sure if the tables will always have the same number assignment, would be good to know. I was not thrilled to have to pay for a table, but getting that location was worth it for now. I would have rather put it into more wine and food, but I get it and there is extra cleaning that needs to happen...so know it is appreciated. Getting there early was good for me as the parking was full when I left. Thank you so much for your thoughtful care in opening up. I look forward to returning soon. It was so good for my soul to be out in the country looking at nature. I am so grateful. Thank you!

I was disappointed that my reservation to sit under heat lamps but they weren’t ready so we sat in the “barrel” room but there was no ambience it just felt like a basement with school room fold up tables. There was no service and no real staff interaction to see how things were going

We are so excited you are open again. We attended the members only soft launch and then again this weekend. We have two kids so we've been in the family area. The picnic tables are great and we enjoy hanging out. My only comment is in regards to the umbrellas. Twice we've been and twice our umbrella's have had trouble. One leaned so much I was afraid it would snap in half. Then yesterday our umbrella didn't go up at all. Just ask that you guys check on the umbrellas and replace if necessary. Sorry to be a pain. We do love it there and we can't wait to come back. This is really a small thing but thought we would mention it. Thank you so much!

I think that the staff wasn't really attentive. You are giving 2 hour time blocks but lines to get wine were super long. You charge $10 for the reservation of the table but aren't really providing service. Been to 4 other wineries who have better protocol and more organized and none of them charge a reservation fee that doesn't get used as a credit for wine. I was okay with the reservatiom fee but thought things would be more organized and you wouldn't spend over 25 minutes in line for wine whenever you only have a 2 hour block. Also, noticed, staff not cleaning tables before they sat the next guest :(

I normally love Bull Run, but this was not a good experience. It's phase one so things are naturally upside down. However, they still made me not feel very welcome, even as a member. They asked us to use an order form and hold it up to the plexiglass. I did that, and the girl didnt get the order right at all. She also didnt ask for my member name so I had to pay full price, even after I gave her my $10 voucher (for the reservation fee), which she did not deduct. It was bizarre. And the order form (specific for phase one) offered a tasting poured at the table, or a tasting with 3 - 4 oz bottles. I ordered both, neither one happened. Instead, they gave 1 oz pours in plastic cups, in plastic trays. Unfortunately, the wind knocked mine over. It was the worst deal I've seen.
Even the limited food was different, like I orderd the proscuitto and mozzerella cheese, and all I got was the proscuitto.
The only reason to go to Bull Run right now is for the incredible property. Avoid the staff and ordering anything there as much as possible for the time being.

The seating that was given to us was horrible. We were given a table with no umbrella in 90 degree heat. I left 30 mins after being there because of the heat and the food vendor was out of food.

Loved the whole experience at TWABR! We liked all their wines, except for one, which is pretty good for this area. The staff were friendly and down-to-earth. No snooty wine people here! The place is beautiful and relaxing, even with pandemic precautions in place. It was very busy the day we went, but you couldn't tell because they had so much space to spread groups out.

Didnt like the experience one bit. The family area is more like an after thought as it is the furthest from the vineyard and the view that you have is a parking lot and mulch. You cannot hear the live music from there and looks like i got one of the non shady areas even though i was there at 11am. Pretty disappointed in the whole experience, will probably try it again once the tours are resumed and everything is open. The pre packaged food was decent, but the food truck was about 15 minutes walking from the family area. Ended up leaving sooner than what i had planned as it didnt live up to the expectations. Also if you want drinks you need to walk to the bar which is another 5 minute walk, would have preferred to have service at the tables. Ended up spending over $100 in beverage sales but didnt feel like we got the experience. First time ever visiting a winery for us but it was a huge let down.

The entry hostesses at Bull Run couldn’t have been kinder. I reserved a table (with deposit) for 11am on Fathers Day, and was late coming in from a hike at the adjacent battleground. I called to let them know, and they not only held my table but extended my window till 2pm. My first real food outing since the pandemic started, and so grateful for their graceful flexibility!
