My partner had a beautiful and succulent steak. I personally think that a colourful salad accompanying it instead of the rocket would make the whole presentation look better. Apart from this personal opinion I thoroughly enjoyed visiting you and will definitely be coming back.

We had an absolutely fabulous Sunday roast, just cud av done with cauliflower being cooked a bit longer, was very hard. But that’s just a little minor thing, will definitely go & av more.

We had a fab time. My only criticism (and this doesn’t detract from the score) was that when I booked online it asked if it was a special occasion. I said yes as that day was both mine and the other lady in the group’s birthday. This was not mentioned at all, not even a ‘happy birthday’ from the greeter. Now I’m a big girl and not particularly bothered by this but my point is why ask if you are not going to bother with the info. We will definitely be back.

Our first time coming tonight, after seeing so many reviews, it definitely didn’t disappoint! Mat was an outstanding host, who couldn’t do enough for you, aswell as the staff. Just been for the Valentines meal…. Never been before, saw it on fb….. absolutely brilliant, steaks cooked to perfection and so tasty, starters were excellent.. would have gone later but it was full….. Only to read later that tables were free as they had some no shows! Why do people do that, yes there is a £10 deposit but obviously not enough. We’ll definitely be going back, even the owner came and chatted with us. Very friendly staff. 10/10 all round… Thank you

We really enjoyed our time at the Lockside. The steak was cooked beautifully. My son loves burgers and said it was the best he had had. The waitress was lovely and very attentive and checked up on us frequently. Matt, the owner, enquired how we were too, which you dont often get in other places - lovely person and down to earth. Would thoroughly recommend. Great place.

Took along time to bring our menu over even though we asked 3 times, ordered our drinks and he forgot to bring them over, waited another 20 mins ( after already waiting 30 mins) for our order to be taken. Food was served and it was nice. apart from our onion rings were full of flour off the batter that hadnt been mixed correct) sent them back and they gave us a fresh portion, by the time they came we had ate the meal, Tried to order deserts off the menu and they hadn't got any apart from cheesecake and cookie dough (which wernt even on the menu) they were understaffed and the poor lad was running around trying to greet people, seat people take orders, put food orders through, serve the food and drinks, won't be rushing back there again

Four of us had Sunday roast. All in all, the food was great, although we ate at 1pm and they had run out of mustard and horse radish. My husband and I chose beef and the beef was a bit over cooked for my taste, but still very nice. The kids had turkey and they really liked it. The accompaniments were good and the portions were huge. Great value for money. Saxophonist playing in background was nice touch. We will be back.

From the moment we arrived for lunch on Wednesday 20th April we felt valued as customers. Tracey was so welcoming, helpful and attentive. We all opted for the New York steak which was cooked to perfection by Dylan. We have all been fans of Miller &Carter steaks but this steak and they way it was cooked was by far in front of theirs. Myself and one sister followed with honeycomb cheesecake which was to die for and my other sister had the brownies which she said were perfect. All in all our experience was brilliant and we will certainly be returning. Thank you Tracey and Dylan.

We, as a family booked into the Lockside Steakhouse. We were celebrating my mom's 70th and my son's 23rd birthdays. I can honestly say, we all had the best night ever. Food was scrummy, service was excellent. Our waitress, Sophie was the best. She catered to our every need...nothing was too much trouble. She was polite and efficient. So, thank you Sophie...and thank you Lockside Steakhouse for making a special night even better!

Josh our server was lovely . The food was amazing . 1 steak was underdone for my pregnant daughter in law and the rectified it with no arguments. Highly recommend.

This was our first visit and it won’t be the last. Had a lovely evening at the lock side steakhouse with our friends. Staff were lovely. Will be returning soon
