Lexington Social lives inside a beautifully restored old Union Pacific train station …. If you look closely at the exposed rafters in the bar area you can find the carved signatures of the original workers who built it… This restaurant is rooted in respect for tradition and shines a bold bright delicious light into the future….. the kitchen rocks its amazing skills and imagination to the delight of guests hungry for a plate of simply prepared food that absolutely sparkles with flavor color texture….. and happiness…. seriously so good it can just make you laugh….. just go and find out… The service is spot on and the bar… good grief, those cocktails!!!and wine selection….. and the desserts:)…. take the trip… All aboard at Lexington

My wife and I had another wonderful and delicious dinner experience at The Lexington Social. Our service was superb. Our waitress was friendly and quite helpful. All of our food was outstanding. I especially liked my starter, Mussels, just the way I like them. It was our anniversary so we chose our favorite dessert, Lemond Cake. It was great. After dinner, we stopped at the bar for an after dinner drink. There we met other customers. All were from Out-of-town, and every on had a similar experience at the Social, a real fun evening!

His was the best dinner we have had in town since we have lived here. Loved it. The only reason for the 9 was the music was a bit loud but was still nice. I like to hear the kitchen sounds and bar sounds more than music. Just a personal preference and when the kitchen is so close and cool it should be highlighted.

We LOVE Lexington Social! The food and service is amazing! Our server, Tony, was attentive, engaging, and professional. Our reservation was late on Sunday (1:45) and when we arrived, they were incredibly busy, but we were treated like we were the only ones there! We are sad they will be discontinuing brunch, but we'll be back for sure!

The experience was amazing from the moment we stepped in. We came in first time for our 15 year anniversary. Lulu & Lauren made amazing drinks, Tony was a pleasant server and we spent 2.5 hours in between our pre dinner drinks, dinner, then after dinner drinks at the bar. I'm 45 years old... I've had conservatively 1500ish steaks in my life. I used to have a top 5 list assembled from the greatest steak houses on 6 continents. Since I had dinner at Lexington Social on Friday Night... I'm having great difficulty even remembering where they were - so epic was the Ribeye (it deserves capitalization) at Lexington Social that it is now the standard by which all others shall be judged.

We had a lovely dinner last night, service was great even with one server. The chef did not care for the steak he cooked for us, so made another. He offered us dessert to compensate for the wait, very nice! Everything we had was great, the steak had good flavor, but a little tough. We love it here, we bring all our visitors! Only complaint is that I was disappointed that the oysters were gone by the time we got there. Not the restaurants fault, just an FYI that I chose this weekend for brunch specifically for the oysters. Hope you get some more in soon!

Music was way to loud, they did lower upon request, otherwise our experience was great. Will return soon. I believe baffles on ceiling would help with noise.

I love virtually everything about Lexington Social, if I have one issue it would be the noise level. I think it is mostly the natural acoustics of the building but between that and the music (great music) it makes it difficult to have a conversation at times.

Glad we went, but you need to look at these items. Two male waiters couldn’t agree on whom should wait our table, so both did. We could feel the tension. Music a little too loud. Pork tenderloin a little dry.

We love eating here, but this time & the last time (3ish months ago) it was a lot harder to get a firm & clear answer on what was safe & a available for a gluten free diet. The menu used to have more naturally non-gluten options, and the staff used to be a lot quicker & more knowledge, which is why we frequently visited in the past. Lately it's been a lot more confusing--last night we had multiple misinformation on menu items: dumplings (which shocked me at 1st when we were told they were gf!), cauliflower, fritas, etc. I completely understand GF is a pain, and that's why I don't like even going out. I don't like feeling like I'm annoying my server by asking questions. If the servers don't know (especially since they used to), it would be helpful to add a disclaimer in the website, giving a good time to email or call before a reservation, so people with restrictions can confidentiality know what they're heading into & what the safe options for that nights menu are. We had a great time, last night & the food was excellent, it was just a little scary since many items were expressed gf, and then weren't, or had to be substituted. I'm very glad we could substitute, but it was a little unnerving.

We love this place!!! It is our very favorite place to eat is the area hands down!! Staff is amazing and we love how we can see what is happening in the kitchen. Our ONLY criticism is the music. We always get a little dressed up and make it a date night and intend on lovely conversation. Sock hop music does not lend itself to a romantic relaxing gourmet dinner. That being said.....food is AMAZING!!!

First visit with a world traveler from Alaska, and I’m from
Central Il. Loved the ambience, especially the candles. Server was great, didn’t hover too much. I’d have to get used to a short menu, and if items don’t match what’s online, it’s difficult to know whether it will be worth the trip. My dining pattern order half order of oysters and said one “tasted off” but the others were good. We both ordered the celery Caesar salad—most unique salad we’ve ever had. I also order the cauliflower dish, and it was very tasty as well. He ordered the meat and cheese platter, bad choice on his part. He’s used to that dish all over the world with lots more meats and cheeses. Olives were nothing special. We were happy with the beverages and dessert. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, and I will likely come back with new guests:)

We visited for our anniversary. The food was delicious and we also enjoyed our wine selection very much. I have to say, the one negative was the volume of the music. It was so loud it was difficult for us to enjoy conversation. Our waiter said the music is so loud to cover sounds from the kitchen. Honestly, the volume is a distraction. We would have preferred to hear a few pots and pans. The music selection is very nice, just way too loud.
