THE FERRY TAVERN returns from April 21 with an outdoor service, in line with COVID-19 Restrictions. All tables are outdoor - and are uncovered. We are taking bookings now for Fri/Sat/Sun from 16/04 to 16/05. We will review our business hours for Wed/Thur opening every Monday, and publish this on our social media pages & website. Friday bookings are for 2 hour slots, Saturday and Sunday are for 3 hour slots. For issues/help please email [email protected]. PLEASE NOTE: If you (or your party) are booking multiple tables, we cannot guarantee they will be next to each other. In line with restrictions, it is a maximum of 6 people to one table.

It is the first time I have been to the pub in over a year and booked to have a meal and drink outside but didn’t know the kitchen was closed until we got there. I understand it’s hard currently with more staff needed which was fine but would have been better to notify customers prior to visiting on the Facebook page. Other than that is was very pleasant thanks

Excellent. The Covid protocols that have been introduced at the Ferry Tavern make you feel safe, but still welcome. It’s so easy to book a table and the two hour time slot is just about right. I recommend the steak pie with chips and gravy. With real ale of course.

Really enjoyed our return to the Ferry.Tables well spaced out inside. Was just a bit surprised that staff were not wearing masks as they had been in another pub we had visited a few days before but this also differs between shops at the moment

The warm, sunny day certainly helped but I must commend the staff who were very welcoming, never kept us waiting and were excellent throughout the three hours we spent overlooking the River. The White Rat pale ale I had was superb.

It was great to see the pub back open although a little strange having table service for our drinks. I suppose this is the new normal for now though. All the staff were great and seemed happy to be back. The reason for the 0 rating on food was because we didn't eat.
