The setting of Barnabrow house and our afternoon was just lovely!! The food was fab and we had to take the couple sweet treats home as we didn't have space!! Staff were lovely and it's a spot I'd go to again!

Overall very good. Some confusion over whether there was one of the main courses left (it turns out there was), but that was a minor quibble. The children’s options and under 4 options were particularly good.

Afternoon tea was pleasant but not anything special. It is really petty to charge for coffee i.e. tea is included in the price but coffee isn’t which seems absolutely ridiculous. Staff were very pleasant and very attentive.

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in Barnabrow House. Staff were excellent; very efficient and friendly and food was top class. Only down side, the room was very cold. We had to put our coats back on we were so cold. There was a fire lighting but it wasn’t kept lit. During winter months, and on a dreary wet day it’s essential to have the comfort of a warm room. Otherwise it was a lovely experience…. Patricia

I love barnabrow. Ive been before for afternoon tea, but found this time there were very little sandwiches available. Plenty of sweets though. I loved the french press coffee too. Another thing I noticed was that the cup and saucer, althought beautifully ornate, werent very clean. Neither were the cushions on the seats and my mam was wearing white so was worried about getting her pants stained.
