Such a lovely restaurant. Despite being very early we were welcomed warmly. We had a delicious meal that was enhanced by the calm attitude towards certain allergies, the celebratory element accompanying the pudding & the efficient yet unrushed service. It’s always difficult on a quieter evening to create an ambience but despite being the only table for the first part of our experience we felt very welcome and not at all uncomfortable. The staff were very efficient and I was particularly pleased with the knowledge and obliging nature of the Head Waiter

We came here to celebrate 2 birthdays and had a fabulous time. The food was amazing and the service faultless. The 2 birthday girls were very spoilt with a special treat of ice cream and homemade happy birthday chocolate which was a lovely surprise and made them feel very special. Had an excellent lunch with two friends on Tuesday. We shared some delicious tapas to start. The fritters were particularly good. I had a super hake dish . Fish cooked perfectly and a very good beurre blanc. Service was lovely. We had a look at the main dining room on the first floor which is lovely, and there are two very nice private dining rooms on the second floor. Delighted to find such a gem only twenty minutes from home

The waiting staff were polite and well trained. My only comment would be they didn't check drinks through the meal. I would have had another...but it did save me money!

We were holidaying, with friends and selected Florys based on online reviews. We had a wonderful meal, excellent value for money and all the staff were welcoming and made for a wonderful experience.

Booked online and was immediately contacted by email to confirm. I was uncertain of numbers and this was accommodated by Ray who was an excellent host both beforehand and during the experience.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and the atmosphere created adds to the food and experience.
The service is exceptional and it's so nice to see younger staff who are obviously being trained to provide the experience people want. Service was both attentive and unobtrusive which is a delicate balance to get right - they did.
All of the food was excellent, presented beautifully and with lots of fresh interesting ingredients. There is lots of attention to detail in the way the dishes are presented. The menu felt modern and up to date, without being overly fussy for the sake of it.
The restaurant would lend itself to a romantic meal for two, a family get together or really any occasion where great food and service are required.

We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for a family birthday celebration.

I am not going to mark ,because obviously Christmas Day at Florys was a great disappointment. They were seriously overbooked/loaded .,so a very long wait ,first downstairs,then even at table. Food was disappointing. Turkey seemed to be a rolled version of leg and not edible. Sorry but service was erratic and the toilet needed attention and cleaning.
