Papa Nino is a small Italian Restaurant, offering a range of traditionally loved Italian dishes and wines, while also taking full advantage of the wide variety of fresh fish and seafood caught daily by local fishermen. Choose from our starters selection of Mussels, Scallops, House Speciality 'Hot Spiced Crab' or Minestrone Soup, Mozzarella and Tomato, Homemade Pate, Avocado with Prawns, Mushrooms in Garlic, Melon with Parma Ham or Prawns in Garlic Butter... Main courses include a large variety of Pasta dishes, lots of Fresh Locally-caught Fish, Whole Dover or Lemon Sole, Whole Sea Bass or Sea Bass Fillets plus many more. Not forgetting our House Speciality Dishes of Lobster Thermidor and large Fillet Steak. Vegetarian options, children portions, fully stocked bar, and comprehensive Italian Wine List with home-made desserts, liqueur coffees and old Italian favourites Sambuca or Limoncello to finish. All served with a warm, family-friendly Italian style silver-service.

Papa Ninos is a first class restaurant and experience. It is the first restaurant we book up when we are coming to Looe. It is very small so booking early is essential - ideally sometime before you are due to come to Looe. Lovely ambience - typical Italian decorations/decor. The chef, Derek (I may have spelt it wrong sorry) is one of the best chefs I've ever come across anywhere. He can cook anything! The menu is very extensive and suits all (cost and food quality). Lovely fish, best steaks I've ever tasted anywhere in the country (fillet plus a tasty, delicious sauce if you like them). Derek or Michael actually come to your table with the pan with the steak and sauce in it and spoon it all on to your plate. Wonderful to see!). Pizza and Pasta menu too for those with children and need a more modest/moderate budget. It doesn't stop there - fantastic desserts too! Derek's assistant chefs are also very capable. They work in a very small kitchen - I do not know how they do it!! Michael the waiter (although it seems he should have a different title to this because he is so much more!) is very friendly, approachable and makes you feel very at ease and has attention to every detail from the moment you book (if by telephone), by email, and when you first enter the restaurant - and when you leave). I cannot fault this restaurant and we will be back every time we go down to Looe. I'm almost reluctant to praise it so high, in case it gets too popular and I cannot book in but of course I must not be selfish and must share people's opportunity to come to such a lovely place. Be aware they only take Cash , no cards, so be warned!

This was our 4th visit over a number of years each time we come down to Cornwall from Bedfordshire on holiday. The food is excellent yet again and the service is brilliant and no hurry to finish and leave. One down side is we were informed that the chef is thinking of retiring next year - PLEASE STAY!!!!!!!!
100% others must visit and enjoy the experience and the food - lobster thermidor and steak pepe a treat.

We had lobster thermidor which was absolutely delicious. Starters and desserts were also fabulous. We have been here before and as we holiday in Looe for a week every year, we make sure we visit. This year we booked in advance before the holiday to make sure we could get a table. It is a small and quite quirky restaurant but that is part of its charm. Unfortunately, I didn't ask the name of the man who served us. He was lovely. So cheerful and smiley.

Justin was as attentive and helpful as always. We usually have one of the wonderful steaks, but this time we had the Lobster Thermidor. Which was superb and can highly recommend it, as with all the other many options available on the menu. This little gem of a restaurant is a must, but it is very advisable to pre book as Papa Nino's is extremely popular with the locals as well as holidaymakers.

Absolutely wonderful, as usual. It is so lovely to be back in Cornwall and visiting our favourite restaurant, Papa Nino's. We visit Cornwall two or three times a year and our visit isn't complete if we don't visit Derek, Justine and the rest of "the gang" at Papa Nino's, at least three or four times per visit. Beautiful.

So pleased we booked to eat here as the food was incredible. I had monkfish in a garlic sauce and my husband had lobster and prawn fusilli in masala sauce followed by tiramisu for dessert. All tasted absolutely delicious.
Would thoroughly recommend a visit here. This is a small restaurant so would advise booking to avoid disappointment.

There is neither nothing to improve nor any way our experience could be improved upon. Papa Ninos is just perfect in every way. Oh, unless the Chocolate Mousse with Brandy could be served as half a dish, and the other half of the dish filled with the White Chocolate Mousse with Cointreau! Now that would be beyond perfection!!!

Very welcoming and cozy restaurant. The staff are friendly and the menu has a very good selection including lots of local fish dishes. Pasta starter portions were very generous. Booking essential as it only has 6 tables.
