Fantastic evening. My sister and I took our 6 year old granddaughter and they were made few so special and welcome. They both ate 3 courses and cleaned their plates too which was an absolute first. Highly recommend.

Fantastic ! Only quibble was after the huge starter none of us could manage to finish the main .( helpful staff supplied containers so the left overs were had for lunch today) .
Have raved about your restaurant on the Facebook page of our local
DA..members of our camping and caravan club section are having a ' meet' in Dumfries in 2 weeks time so hopefully you will see a few at your establishment.

Booked for 6.30pm, taken promptly to our table, waitress arrived after a few minutes asking if we were ready to order drinks, on returning with our drinks we order our starters and mains.
Once again we were not disappointed, the portions are a great size, the ribs are amazing and really do fall off the bone.
Mains arrived, husband still couldn't finish his pizza, son with hollow legs struggled to finish his burger and why oh why did we order the amazing onion rings, we knew we'd never finish them.
3 pints of lager, 2 large soft drinks, three starters and mains all for £85.00, what's not to like?
We will visit as much as we can, probably every couple of months.
I honestly don't know how they do the portion sizes for the prices...

Well worth the 60 or so miles of travel to get to the Hitching Post. From the moment you go through the door, until the moment you leave, you are looked after and catered for. The food is exceptional, no wonder it was so busy when we were there. The staff deserve high praise to. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Lovely catch up with friends.
Food was outstanding. Two had Christmas menu and 2 had from main menu. Both equally delicious! Can't wait to go back.
