The food was amazing - generous portions of well cooked, well presented delicious food. The crab was plentiful with fantastic bread (crunchy on the outside but soft and fluffy inside), delicate sea bass and tasty steaks. Both our drinks waiter and food waitress were friendly and attentive and a nice touch was our water bottle kept being refilled without having to ask. I like the fact you can see into the kitchen and we noticed they were constantly cleaning despite service being busy. I will certainly return here for a meal - it's worth booking in advance for.

Lovely place. Main lady waitress was clearly over-stretched but smiling and working hard to keep up appearances. Perhaps they were one person down on FOH staff. Or just experiencing teething problems. Younger bar tender was relaxed, efficient, friendly, but put our wine on the table unopened, smiled and walked off. At over £20 a bottle we expected at least to have the wine opened and first glass poured.
Excellently-timed gap between starter and main. Thank you for not rushing us.
Prices seemed a little steep for the cafe vibe but food was nice, we understand prices are rocketing and range of drinks on offer was good.
Overall a nice place but we wouldn’t rush back for a date night. Good to know it’s here if down here for two weeks and want something different to the usual pub grub options.

From Mazz's email confirming my booking and answering all my questions, to leaving the restaurant full and happy, this was an excellent experience. The dining room is casually comfortable, with the buzz that only a room full of happy diners can create. The food is fresh and plentiful, imaginative and tasty. My mussel starter was perfectly cooked, my Dad said the smoked mackerel was delicious. My main was the thickest piece of stone bass, expertly cooked and served with patatas bravas and chorizo, amongst other complementary accompaniments. The rest of our party enjoyed huge portions of dressed crab served with sublimely crisp chips, warm bread, a salad of leaves & pink grapefruit and a pot of aioli. We were too full for puddings, but have booked to return for the second visit this week to try the Sunday lunch. Highly recommended

Can’t find the words to say how amazing this place is. The Sunday lunch was probably the best I’ve ever had and such good value. The mackerel was presented so well and tasted amazing. The staff were so polite and couldn’t do enough for you. Really nice/ unique touch (in my experience) that the chef brought out the starter and asked if everything was okay whilst eating our mains. Just awesome.

We have eaten here a few times whilst on holiday and considered it one of the better places to eat. However the last couple of times the service has been very slow. This time we booked for 8.00pm and got our main course around 9.30pm which isn’t really acceptable. The restaurant was very busy and there were only two people attending customers. Obviously places are short staffed but there was no apology about the waiting time.
I was disappointed with my linguine as I wouldn’t expect to have to find and peel prawns in an oily bowl of pasta - much better to serve them already peeled. We felt underwhelmed by this dining experience and as it’s a treat to eat out, might think twice about booking again. It feels as if the restaurant are accepting too many bookings and aren’t actually able to cope. The table behind us appeared to get their meals separately and even their accompaniments arrived at different times.
Also two extra drinks were added to our bill without much of an apology (£21!). Having said all that we did still give a 10% tip on top of the bill which wasn’t really deserved.

The staff were great, but the poor team were understaffed. I hope management are able to sort this out for the sake of their team.
The food was great, the service was very slow, but the waitress was looking after the whole restaurant. She did a great job though, still smiling until the end of the night. A couple more staff members and it would be 10/10 all round.

Delicious!! I had the hot smoked mackerel and the bass fillet, very fresh and delicious and well presented. Service was excellent. Great range of drinks and knowledgable staff. Highly recommend.

Our table was booked on an evening when the whole village lost its gas supply. Maz and her team were amazing! They knew we wouldn't be able to get food elsewhere so they managed to create delicious tapas platters out of bits and bobs. They kept us well fed and watered in a lovely atmosphere in a tough situation. Thank you!
