Food it self was good, fish was a little dry. A lot of food not available on menu due to nationwide shortages; which is why rating is a little lower. What we ate we were otherwise very happy with. Will return again!

Very friendly and helpful staff, allowed us to move tables to sit by the window. The layout felt safe and allowed enough space between different groups, though it was early evening and I imagine on a sunny day it would be packed. The food was very good and pretty good value. Definitely one to revisit.

This is second time visiting Bucket and Spade. The staff are brilliant at looking after people I thought being pushy. The food is quite good with interesting combinations, but this time potatoes were not cooked and the fish looked unpleasant although tasted fine. However potion sizes leave a lot to be desired, some of our group had the Sunday roast, the potions were fine, even plenty of meat, but the fish was way to small for the price. Also, on both occasions we have been there the pudding size was a great disappointment! We have mentioned this both times to the staff. Will we go again, yes we will but we shall ask for larger portions, especially the puddings which are too small! One other point I’d make is the pudding plates are very flat, so if you have cream instead of icecream it is difficult to scoop up! Might be better if they served clotted cream instead of single cream!

It was good for what we wanted as we were leaving for home, but if we had wanted to have a more satisfying meal to enjoy and savor, the food wasn't as good as it was a month ago.
