As always our evening at the Lions Monocle was great, the service is always good, staff are friendly and helpful, the place is always clean and the variety of drinks is really good. No complaints from us, we will continue to visit whenever we can.

Booked a table for an hr, waited 45 minutes for our drinks! My husband then wanted to order another drink straight away as the first order had taken so long! A few minutes later the member of staff came over & informed us the drink
Would take 10 minutes to make & basically our time was nearly up on the table!! We were then asked to move tables, no consideration to move the other party, even though I suggested it maybe easier & we were the ones that were kept waiting!! Made to feel uneasy & that this was an impossible ask! Funny though our bill was Served like lightening & our money taken within seconds!!! We were told they were short staffed but this happened the previous time we came in when you were fully staffed! Such a shame as we are local, wanting to support a small locally run business & are treated badly! Lovely cocktails, worth waiting 45 minutes for? NO! Staff needing customer service training? YES!

Absolutely loved my afternoon in the lions monopole. The staff were so lovely and gave their opinions to help us out! They made my daughter feel so included with her beautiful unicorn style mocktail! The chips were delicious! The cocktails were out of this world! Will return when I am next on holiday! Thankyou again for the best afternoon

Our party was late arriving for our booking and we were basically told off like naughty school chidren for being late (even though we phoned ahead to say we were going to be late) and informed that in the future we should be more considerate and arrive on time. I spoke with the owner before leaving the premises that we did not appreiate the way we were treated and would not go back there again. She did not seem bothered. What a shame!
