We have been coming back to the London Inn, when on holiday, for years and it never disappoints. We ate here twice during our short stay over New year and the food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the cheese pots with chorizo jam and the venison loin with celeriac puree. All served by a friendly and efficient team who go out of their way to make sure that your dining experience is a good one. We ate in the bar as we had our dog with us this time, very dog friendly,, Willow enjoyed the treats that the staff gave her. We will definitely be back.

We spent 4 nights staying in Shaldon. Went to London Inn on first night and was so impressed booked for our last night too. Staff were all friendly, fun and efficient both nights. Food was excellent and well presented. Catered for my gluten intolerance very well. Very reasonable prices too. Can’t fault them at all. Would definitely recommend it and go there again if in the area.

Really nice pub perfectly positioned overlooking the beautiful Village Green. There are tables for food & drink both inside and outside the pub. As visitors to the area it was nice to receive a warm welcome. We ate here on two occasions of our five night stay and each time the food and service were excellent. I’d suggest booking a table as it is very popular. Well priced and highly recommended!

Two mains for £25 we had mussels there were loads of them! And a monkfish burger which was also VERY nice and well cooked we both enjoyed out meal we had a warm welcome and goodbye afterwards the pub itself is always warm and friendly both meals and 2 pints I think came to £37.40? Warm, cosy and inviting atmosphere. The service from bar to wait staff was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly. Our friends were caught up in a traffic accident and so were running late for our booked table. The London Inn staff were very helpful and flexible considering our circumstances and how busy the night was.
Our party of four only ate mains and they were superb! Tasty, imaginative and a very decent portion for a reasonable price. Wouldn’t hesitate going back

Lovely cosy pub, warm and welcoming. Staff friendly, quick and helpful. Food was delicious. Pork bites starter lush. Husband enjoyed his twisted hunters chicken. My sea bass and shrooms was tasty but too much cream sauce overpowered the medley of Mushrooms and beautiful fish. With the large fried croutons, it was too rich and everything tasted of cream. If I had this again, I'd ask for sauce on the side. Suggestion would be to Drizzle sauce, smaller croutons and another vegetable to add another dimension to the dish.

We received a warm welcome and the service was perfect. We were able to chat before ordering without being rushed to do so. The steak and ale pie was a proper pie and full of flavour and plenty of gravy served separately. There was a lovely ambience and all in all a lovely afternoon.

Good quality produce. Excellent range of tapas with good sized dishes. The London Inn is very well situated, and has retained it's ambience. Very enjoyable visit.
