A charming beautiful pub in Poole The decor , ambiance and staff were top quality. A great selection of beers & wines , but best of all was the excellent meal we had It didn’t just taste good but the presentation on the plate was like a work of art If Michael Angelo or Pablo Piccasso had been born chefs , one or both of them would have been working in The Blue Boar

Had a bite to eat here on Tuesday and had the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The presentation, taste and overall dish was superb. Fish from the specials board . Thanks Blue Boar. A big thank you to your wonderful waitress too , who gave us many useful tips which we used , adding to our time here in poole , so thank you once again

The service was excellent. The waitress lola was attentive friendly and made us feel at home . Also had time to chat and listen to our stories which I am sure she has heard them all before. The food was spot on and couldn’t fault it at all . Excellent value for money for the quality of food . I would highly recommend.

New decor is lovely and the steak was good and not over- priced. The deep-fried broccoli was rather strange though. The only problem was that the restaurant was empty when we went last Friday night.

On the whole the roast dinner was ok. Yorkshire very dry/over cooked. Blue Boar burger could have done with a selection of sides to accompany it. Choice of dessert poor. Price was good
