We were a group of 4 having pre theatre dinner. We waited some time for our food order to be taken although the servers were very pleasant and polite.
The dish I ordered was supposed to come with hand cut thick chips but instead were skinny fries, which was disappointing.

Food was from a wide variety of choices, although I think on the main menu it could have been fewer fish options. If you are a fussy eater, then you are basically stuck with the "meat and 2 veg option" which was the butterfly chicken breast. However, the dessert was superb. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices reasonable.

As always the Rep provides a pleasant venue for meeting friends. The food is always a bit different and usually excellent. This time, however, I found the winter root vegetable pie disappointing as the filling was mostly carrot, not the mixture I expected, parsnips, swede, &. Other than that the whole experience was great.

We had a lovely dining experience at the restaurant, the vegetarian risotto was delicious and fresh topped with pea shoots. Service was lovely too with very helpful staff ( they tried hard to find the vinegar for our table but unfortunately it was missing) Other than that thank you for a lovely meal in great surroundings for a lovely catch up with friends.

We had such a lovely pre-theatre meal on Saturday night. Thank you all!
The menu had a great selection (it was difficult to choose!). We both really enjoyed what we eventually chose to eat.
Compared to recent meals we have had out, the value for money was astonishing! So reasonably priced.
We both also commented on the standard of service. Best we’ve had in a very long time. Smart, professional, well trained and friendly. Fantastic.
Great to see a member of staff regularly (and very discreetly) checking round the room making sure all was well. We noticed!
All in all, we will be back - but not just when we are going to see a production in the theatre! We will also recommend the Rep Restaurant to friends and family.

Good menu. We both picked the Salmon Wellington. Very tasty but my potatoes were hard while my wife's were perfect. Odd and disappointing.
Other than that rest of meal vg and our sweet choices both excellent.

The table service was very good. However we were a party of six people who chose two different food items from the menu with the people having the chicken enjoying it and the other three who ordered fish being very disappointed with quality and taste.

Excellent venue to eat before the show, avoiding any last-minute rush and panic. Menu would suit all tastes inc. vegan and allergic. Polenta and smoked salmon pate starters were very tasty but the salad garnish was tired. It was difficult to discern either the carrot or the ginger that were supposed to be in the soup, but it was a warming bowlful on a chilly evening. Mains of featherblade beef and baked salmon were good as were the accompanying veg. Baileys creme brulee seemed to have missed out on the Baileys but otherwise was nice. I'd eat there again but only pre-show.

1st time a bit disappointed with the meal at the Rep. Had the chicken very ordinary, we usually rave about our pre theatre meal. Back again in April so fingers crossed better next time.

Good food and friendly service. Bit slow for food to come - we were booked for 6, plates were cleared at 7.10 so we didn't have time for dessert/ coffee before show started at 7.30. We will allow more time the next time.
