The Beach was recommended by my daughter and we have been meaning to go there for a long time. We finally made it and were not disappointed. At a time when there are so many mediocre restaurants and pubs around, The Beach stood out as an example of doing simple things well, including menu, service, value and ambience . We will be back!

We had a lovely lunch at the Beach. No mater how busy it is, the staff are always really friendly. We had our grandchildren with us, 4 & 2 years old, they both had fish & chips which was delicious, but rather too much for them to eat.

The best visit to The Beach yet! A lovely welcome for my Nan's 80th, a booth table with a sea view and the food and coffee was delicious. Banana bread is insane, couldn't finish it so had to take the rest home in a box. Staff were so kind and attentive. The only thing I would say is it was a little chilly on the morning we visited and therefore was a tad cooler in The Beach too, but the coffee kept us warm! Thank you so much for having us - I'll be back soon.

The quality of the food was exceptional, portions were generous and the service was attentive and the staff all seemed happy and were constantly smiling. The restaurant was busy and there was a little delay getting the food but we were pre warned of the delay and were kept informed of its progress which was great service! Cant wait to return, next weekend.

First time there. Lovely friendly staff. Busy and buzzing but didn't feel rushed. Had a table looking out over the beach which was great. Not cheap for a casual meal but really nice french rosé wine served. Definitely will go back. And thinking of trying a paddle board lesson with school attached to the restaurant.

We have a really nice experience every time at ‘The Beach, Littlehampton’. I’ve recently started reserving a table and wouldn’t do it any other way now. The food is freshly cooked, well presented and with the view out to sea included is great value for money. Rare in today’s world but there always seems to be enough front of house staff on duty who have time to give you good service. The staff have always been polite, helpful and friendly which is why we keep returning. My suggestion would be, ‘Keep doing what you're doing’.

The service was not consistent. A server came up to take our plates when we were not all finished. Even had to ask her to come back as she continued to stand there. The other server had no idea about when cocktails were served. The food was okay but not great variety and a little pricey for what it was.

Our initial enthusiasm from the restaurant's situation, decor, friendly welcome, and menu choices was dampened by: The entry door was kept open despite request to close it, allowing cold air currents to make dining experience uncomfortable. Our waitress was friendly but our starters were 'forgotten' (neighboring table who arrived after us had main course before our starters arrived!) The fish in the Fish and Chips was less tasty than average.

Service was excellent we had a very helpful and kind waitress called Ellie. Food was ok, nothing special which was a little disappointing. Live band were fantastic! Line dancing was lots of fun, shame it was only short though, as we came more to do some fun dancing so would have been nice to learn more dance moves. Overall a good atmosphere and would come back again if those little things improved.

The Mark Wright event was terrific and great value. I did not have any food. The wine was more expensive than local competitors. It was also served warm ~ it was taken from the front of the cooler storage unit. The restaurant had also run out of ice for the ice bucket. This was resolved by the staff. The seating area on the roof is very wide, uncomfortable, rough edges and finish ~ ripped a ladies dress sitting opposite. Cushions need to supplied and the wooden seating improved upon. When the restaurant first opened the roof seating was better quality and more comfortable.

Atmosphere was great, its the Best. Staff dress up too for 80s. Singer Mark A Wright gives brilliant performance, gets everyone joining in. Atmosphere is Brilliant. Lovely venue overlooking the sea, its just what we needed in the area. Love it. Will definitely be back.

We visited The Beach cafe for the menopause talk and decided to have dinner at the same time. We love the location and decor and the speaker was very interesting however the intermittent sound system let her down and made it hard to hear all her fascinating information. We hoped to finish eating before the presentation begun so we were disappointed to find, again, that although our order was taken promptly the delivery of food was very slow and some items had to be reminded and provided. At the end of the evening when we went to settle up the bill we were over charged with no clear understanding why or ability to get to the bottom of it or apology. We are trying very hard to love this place due to being locals and loving its location but are constantly disappointed by the customer service.

We hadn’t noticed that there was live music that evening. We had come for a birthday celebration so it was quite difficult to chat. An option to be near the music or not would’ve been good. This was my first visit to The Beach, and I was extremely impressed. Amazing location, great welcome and service from an excellent team, and a really pleasant lunch. I could happily have stayed around for the whole of the day. Will definitely be back. Many thanks.

Loved our lunch here the other day. Great location, service and ambience. Food was very good, if anything the portion sizes were a little too big and chips could be a bit thinner and less oily but was sooo yummy.

They forgot to take the table booking deposit of the final bill. But after speaking with them they offered to take it off our breakfast the next morning. Chips portions were small with a main meal. Generally though this is a great place and location.

The Beach cafe always has a lovely vibe, the service is always excellent and without exception, the staff are always friendly, courteous and efficient… invariably going that extra mile to ensure they do well he best fit you. The food is always good with very generous portions. The coffees are delicious, never bitter as some major brands often are. Sipping coffee and watching the waves pound the shore is always a wonderful experience.

Very good service on a very busy Friday evening. My only gripe was that after our main course the service seemed to slow leaving us having to ask for the dessert menu and to call the waitress for more drinks. Food excellent.
