Love The Beach !! 80s nite. Always excellent service, pleasant helpful staff. We all (4) had mains, food was really lovely. Scampi, Pizza homemade, burger, chicken salad. Atmosphere was great, its the Best. Staff dress up too for 80s. Singer Mark A Wright gives brilliant performance, gets everyone joining in. Atmosphere is Brilliant. Lovely venue overlooking the sea, its just what we needed in the area. Love it. Will definitely be back.

The Beach was recommended by my daughter and we have been meaning to go there for a long time. We finally made it and were not disappointed. At a time when there are so many mediocre restaurants and pubs around, The Beach stood out as an example of doing simple things well, including menu, service, value and ambience . We will be back!

We have a really nice experience every time at ‘The Beach, Littlehampton’. I’ve recently started reserving a table and wouldn’t do it any other way now. The food is freshly cooked, well presented and with the view out to sea included is great value for money. Rare in today’s world but there always seems to be enough front of house staff on duty who have time to give you good service. The staff have always been polite, helpful and friendly which is why we keep returning. My suggestion would be, ‘Keep doing what you're doing’.

The Beach cafe always has a lovely vibe, the service is always excellent and without exception, the staff are always friendly, courteous and efficient… invariably going that extra mile to ensure they do well he best fit you. The food is always good with very generous portions. The coffees are delicious, never bitter as some major brands often are. Sipping coffee and watching the waves pound the shore is always a wonderful experience.

Lovely visit as always as we are regulars there but felt this time and the last time we went the food seemed overcooked and there’s no dressing on the plates with fish and chips (ie a little salad with it or leaves - nothing at all no lemon with the fish it’s these little touches that make the presentation nice ) and the wraps too just - plain looking food - sadly all was over fried over cooked - Ie fish / prawns and calamari too - feeling tbh like they are getting too busy now for the smaller touches \care that were there in the beginning - which is a shame - the food Is not as nicely presented or cooked as good as it was - such a shame as we love it there but food is not as nice as it was when it first opened and over the last few months it’s been a little disappointing- we were a table of 5 this time for my sons birthday so 5 meals & drinks so was a bit of a shame but staff lovely as always and we still had a good time but need to be honest about the food Thankyou

The quality of the food was exceptional, portions were generous and the service was attentive and the staff all seemed happy and were constantly smiling.
The restaurant was busy and there was a little delay getting the food but we were pre warned of the delay and were kept informed of its progress which was great service!

The Mark Wright event was terrific and great value.
I did not have any food.
The wine was more expensive than local competitors. It was also served warm ~ it was taken from the front of the cooler storage unit. The restaurant had also run out of ice for the ice bucket. This was resolved by the staff. The seating area on the roof is very wide, uncomfortable, rough edges and finish ~ ripped a ladies dress sitting opposite. Cushions need to supplied and the wooden seating improved upon. When the restaurant first opened the roof seating was better quality and more comfortable.

We love the venue obviously because of the location.
Never quite looks clean and tidy. The welcome was poor, considering you have a door post.
The Croissants and pan chocolates on the counter as you go in we're uncovered and as they are a morning offering I wondered how long they had been there and left like that!!
The entertainment was very good, Mark was personable and inclusive. Everyone seemed engaged.
Nearly all the staff work hard. Some staff training would help as cohesion is lacking. And the dashing around was unnecessary and the fluidity wasn't apparent. One person just seemed to be walking around but never actually doing anything.
The food was average, the menu is small, so management of the food should be easy but lacked in presentation, quality, temperature of food was cold, and because the food wasn't delivered together, that didn't help.
I was poorly as soon as I got home which speaks volumes to me because the food was just not right.
We still go back, not as regularly as we were visiting! sadly we always think it could do better.
This is not a negative post just an observation. If you don't know how we feel you can't address it and that's what these surveys should achieve.

It was a wild and windy day, so fairly empty. Service good - training staff. Food was fairly good but came with unordered items and sourdough toast too tough to cut with a normal knife!
Don’t like having to pay £5 per person to book with 72 hour cancellation policy. It’s lucky none of our party were ill on the day. £10 deposit to secure table would seem enough.
Do love the venue though.

We had visited before but not for breakfast, but it was my birthday so decided to treat myself! I had the breakfast wrap and half was more than enough to set me up for the day..(I took the other half home). It’s a bit pricey..but there is no skimping on the ingredients. I had a large latte..and it was large! My husband had the full breakfast & he especially liked the beans (nice ‘thick’ tom sauce!)…and his small pot of tea elicited almost 3 cups. Was quite bust for 8.30 in the morning! Staff are lovely.

Service was excellent we had a very helpful and kind waitress called Ellie.
Food was ok, nothing special which was a little disappointing. Live band were fantastic! Line dancing was lots of fun, shame it was only short though, as we came more to do some fun dancing so would have been nice to learn more dance moves.
Overall a good atmosphere and would come back again if those little things improved.

Enjoyable, friendly, relaxed place to meet friends,and eat. Limited menu is not under-priced. This is the first time that I have had to pay a booking deposit - having eaten in every continent at all levels - but it is probably a ''sign of the times'!

No puddings available! Ordered 2 puddings, but were told afterwards that they had run out of Apple pie and that they couldn't get to the ice cream machine. Disappointing end to a pleasant evening. Food quality was good, albeit a bit on the expensive side for portion size....e.g. very small amount of chips with burgers. Staff were good and attentive and beer from Bedlam Brewery was also good!

They forgot to take the table booking deposit of the final bill. But after speaking with them they offered to take it off our breakfast the next morning. Chips portions were small with a main meal. Generally though this is a great place and location.

Food was very slow to arrive - we were a table of 3 & didn’t receive our food together. Two of the 3 meals were initially returned because of issues. My meal (prawn beach bowl) was disappointing (gritty lettuce, tempura batter not cooked) and not worth £13.95.

I reserved a table for two for lunchtime on Sunday and when we arrived was shown to small table for two with stools. However the large table next to us had. 7 or 8 people round it which meant that I couldn’t sit on my stool. We asked to be moved and the young girl showed us to the little table for two by the wall at the other end of the cafe when booths were free. Our server came over, checked we were eating and said we could have a booth. She was very attentive at first but we would have liked further drinks and dessert but weren’t offered any. Great place to come for a drink and a snack but not for a lunch date. Especially after paying reservation deposit.

The service was not consistent. A server came up to take our plates when we were not all finished. Even had to ask her to come back as she continued to stand there. The other server had no idea about when cocktails were served.

A busy place but the young staff were cheerful. Wonderful views. Our food didn’t come out all together which was a shame. The “side” of coleslaw is served in a minuscule paper dish, like the ones McDonald’s sometimes serve ketchup in! So you get about a teaspoon! We did point this out as our food was served and we were told it’s something new they are doing. I think they need to review it! We were offered more but we had all finished by the time we told this. Nachos were great - double portion was very fresh and tasty.
