Everything was great but there definitely needs to either be more staff or an awareness to how long people are waiting for drinks and food. The pub was busy, so I’d suggest getting more staff!

My friend and I went to the Half Moon for Sunday lunch. It was a warm day so we didn't want to order any of the roast mains. We instead ordered 2 starters which were delicious but very small. They cost £8 each so we paid the equivalent of a main course. We were disappointed that the portions were so small. There was nothing on the mains menu that was suitable for those not wanting roasts or fried food.

Thanks for a lovely meal, atmosphere was great and staff were very helpful and accommodating. Roasts were very good. Sticky toffee pudding could do with more sauce to our liking but was very tasty. Looking forward to visiting again soon cheers

Whilst the waiter was very attentive, we had to wait over half an hour for our food even though the restaurant wasn't full. I appreciate some dishes take longer than others to prepare but we all three had burgers. Nevertheless we will go again as we still enjoyed ourselves there.

Lovely old pub with plenty of parking. Had the pie of the day -chicken and ham which was very tasty. Friendly staff. They had both log burners going but still a bit on the cool side.

Lovely food, really nice staff but really annoying table with a high pitched yapping dog next to us, we had seen this dog on the way chasing a horse with a rider, the owners did nothing - idiots, anyway that is not the the pubs fault, they just really got on my nerves.

The Half Moon is a lovely pub with lots of character, good beer and friendly service. However, we were disappointed in the food: my pork loin was tasteless and the burgers and fish/ chips were soggy. I was also surprised that the default service %'s on the credit card machine started at 15% and went upwards, which is very unusual in the UK. You had to do a "custom tip" to change it to a more usual 10% or 12.5%

This is a great pub with several different eating and drinking spaces both indoors and out and with lots of parking. Staff were all really friendly. The food was average but not over priced. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Had Sunday lunch. Food was well cooked and nicely presented. We both had the lamb. My lamb shoulder was more bone than meat but it was very tasty. Unfortunately there was a power outage just after the food was served so not sure what the ambiance and service would be like under normal conditions.

Setting is amazing, lovely beer garden and great for the kids. Love the idea of the pizza bar outside but it just didn't deliver. The staff were underprepared for the amount of guests, and the food was sub par. We even heard the guy serving us saying to another member of staff that came to help him - 'have you any idea how to make pizzas?' to which the reply was 'nope'. I'd go again for the gorgeous setting but I probably wouldn't eat there. Such a shame.

We had a delightful waitress who couldn’t have been more helpful. I was in a group of four and although they all enjoyed their meals, my fish was absolutely full of bones, that could have been removed before I got it and my potato’s were not fully cooked, they were very hard. The other vegetables were lovely. Apart from this it was a very pleasant meal.
