This is the second time we have been here, and it was really lovely. It was decorated for Halloween and the kiddies loved it. They were happy to sit and colour while waiting for their food and which was fairly quick to arrive.

It was my first time at the Strawberry Tea Room and I cannot recommend it enough.
The cafe is lovely and clean, the staff are so friendly and attentive, and portion sizes are impressive - such good value for money and great quality food.
I even requested a vegan alternative and Jo was brilliant at accommodating me - nothing was too much trouble.

All good . The waitress was extremely open to all the quirks of our demands - I am particularly perplexed by cafes that refuse to bring drinks with the food rather than before, ie while you wait for the food- something to do with the way the kitchen is organised rather than the wishes of the customer! This situation is happening more & more as technology becomes more sophisticated.
The one point dropped in service score was simply because the waitress was chatting through the hatch rather than keeping an eye on the tables so I felt I had to approach the counter to place the order. And she had not remembered that I had requested the drinks to come with the food so they were delivered ahead. That said, she did offer to take them away & bring new drinks with the food which we declined. These may be slightly mean points to raise when overall she was perfectly lovely & helpful but that is the difference between OK & excellence. Her bad luck that I am rather hot on service these days & do notice the small things. I think it’s because I am finding more & more that the customer is often made to feel ( at many cafes) that they are being difficult and that the establishment is just going through a process to get you fed & out at their convenience rather than that of the customer.

Glad we booked,as very busy at 10am Sunday. Air-conditioning too cold for first thing as cool enough in there to start. We were able to move table with no fuss. Service polite and friendly. Every time I visit the tea rooms, I always know that I will have a good experience. The food is always tasty and there is a good selection to choose from whether it is the breakfast or lunch menu. The staff are very friendly but not intrusive whilst dining. Regardless of how busy the tea rooms are, the level of service is always efficient. The only thing I'd change is the salad dressing. It over powers the taste of the salad and isn't very nice. Maybe give people the option to not have it or an alternative.
