RORO Café on the Beach is located right on the beach at Queenscliff with stunning views across the Bay. Recently rebranded and with a new Food and Beverage Team, it has a whole new feel and looks. Serving serious coffee and a fresh menu of local and regional produce, new head chef Brent Love is making his mark. Great service, the best breakfast in town, and a changing menu are just a few reasons to pop in and give RORO a try. But it is the views that catch you out. With the sand meters away, and the outlook across to Point Nepean and the Heads, Queenscliff Pier and the black lighthouse – it is captivating whatever the weather. Located at the ferry terminal, it is just a few steps on or off the ferry. Open daily from 7am – 6pm. The kitchen is open until 3pm.
Amazing service and great food overlooking the water. Highly recommend.
Have been to RORO many times and the experience is always consistently a delight. Best view in Queenscliff from window tables, and our ‘goto’ place for delicious, well presented, well priced food with attentive and friendly service from all staff. Highly recommend. M
Lovely tasty food, served by happy staff. Wonderful view to ocean and working ferry.

Always awesome food, service and view Best breakfast in queenscliff
Lovely setting right on the beach and great food - highly recommend!
Thoroughly recommend. Food excellent and staff friendly but professional . Great location
Love this Cafe, food is always yummy, staff so friendly and the view is beautiful.
Lovely casual cafe with sea views. Pity it is going to be replaced by a monstrosity.
As usual can not fault ROHO cafe for food, service and price. So happy to once again be able to sit and have meal.
We always enjoy eating here but menu very limited, would have liked something like the lasagne that was on the takeaway menu. Staff very friendly and lovely food. Very surprised that we did not have to show licence to prove we were not from a lockdown area as we have had to at other cafes.
Great customer service. Professional , positive efficient and friendly. Food was great and a lovely ambience. Tailored the service to our needs.strongly recommended.
Our waiter was fantastic made our day.
Wonderful food and great service as always.
Can't go past the Seafood Chowder...but could have been a bit hotter temp wise. Still loved it though. And the local Pinot Noir. Only place to eat in Queenscliff!
I’ve always liked the place. All good
Great casual dining experience with terrific service and food, combined with beautiful beach and bay views - what’s not to like?
Very good . Only improvement was a wine list to choose from .
Had a lovely meal to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Have eaten there before & it is great value. The beer battered fish was divine - so light & crunchy. Last time we had the grazing platter which was superb. Thank you Sea Road Ferries for the free tickets.
There was a mix up with our order but we didn’t say anything...we just ate what was brought! But then the wrong coffee was served but I did return that. The staff were very friendly and everything else was fine.
Good breakfast experience. A rather large somewhat impersonal cafe but nice if you sit at the window looking out at the sea. The breakfast was fine and quite generous. Coffee was fine. COVID scenario was managed satisfactorily.
Didn't realise the cafe was part of the ferry terminal so a little more bustling that we anticipated but all else v good.
Enjoyable lunch with good food and reasonable price. Staff very helpful with helping with elderly mother. A bit noisy however only a minor point.
Lovely smiling staff and delicious food.Well spaced due to COVID. Surprised to see menues being used, the blackboard is fine in these times.
It was great for a small cafe. Good food and excellent service. Well done to the young team.
Very amiable waiter. Great location. Good wine. I had fish and chips with salad. Salad was nice and fresh but could’ve had more fish inside the batter and less chips for a healthier balance.
The Roro staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely to be greeted with smiles! The seafood chowder was totally delicious, loaded with fresh prawns, mussels, scallops and fish, yummy soup and crispy toast. The convenient location is a big plus. BUT the noise was awful! The coffee machine stopped conversation and the general volume had us raising our voices to be heard. Despite the pluses, sadly we’ll look forward somewhere quieter next time.
Lovely view and good food, very good prices
