RORO Café on the Beach is located right on the beach at Queenscliff with stunning views across the Bay. Recently rebranded and with a new Food and Beverage Team, it has a whole new feel and looks. Serving serious coffee and a fresh menu of local and regional produce, new head chef Brent Love is making his mark.
Great service, the best breakfast in town, and a changing menu are just a few reasons to pop in and give RORO a try. But it is the views that catch you out. With the sand meters away, and the outlook across to Point Nepean and the Heads, Queenscliff Pier and the black lighthouse – it is captivating whatever the weather.
Located at the ferry terminal, it is just a few steps on or off the ferry.
Open daily from 7am – 6pm. The kitchen is open until 3pm.

We always enjoy eating here but menu very limited, would have liked something like the lasagne that was on the takeaway menu. Staff very friendly and lovely food.
Very surprised that we did not have to show licence to prove we were not from a lockdown area as we have had to at other cafes.

Had a lovely meal to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Have eaten there before & it is great value. The beer battered fish was divine - so light & crunchy.
Last time we had the grazing platter which was superb.

Good breakfast experience. A rather large somewhat impersonal cafe but nice if you sit at the window looking out at the sea. The breakfast was fine and quite generous. Coffee was fine. COVID scenario was managed satisfactorily.

The Roro staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely to be greeted with smiles! The seafood chowder was totally delicious, loaded with fresh prawns, mussels, scallops and fish, yummy soup and crispy toast. The convenient location is a big plus. BUT the noise was awful! The coffee machine stopped conversation and the general volume had us raising our voices to be heard. Despite the pluses, sadly we’ll look forward somewhere quieter next time.
