The mussels were well prepared but a little salty. The pasta was also good but could have been better with maybe some lemon and pepper. The chef came out as we were leaving and talked to us about food in general and we thoroughly enjoyed the conversation! Great place!

Our server was great, the place is so cute and we loved the outdoor seating! My only critique would be that I think maybe the chefs could've used less seasoning on the fries and less salt on the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, though! I loved the crust it had and the flavor was wonderful, but just slightly too salty. We also ordered a super duper pickle pizza, and I loved it, but again, I think there were so many flavors in it that it would've been even better if it was dialed back a touch. Our cheese board was amazing. I loved the truffle oil and the balsamic on the Buffalo mozzarella. SO good! We will definitely be back!

The area outdoors was so inviting. It was a perfect night to dine outside for dinner. The greeting and service staff were friendly and efficient. We both had the shrimp/scallop pasta dish which was excellent! The small portion desserts were spot on! This makes our second visit to Double Oaks and we will be back soon!

Nicely maintained, spacious rooms, and very considerate little extras for quests such as water, wine or beers in pantry area. Would be a lovely spot in warm weather with huge trees, lovely plantings, large patio for outdoor dinning, and I perhaps entertainment. Parking on premises.

Double Oaks is just enchanting. A Greensboro gem that is not well known.
Our dining experience was very good. I was very disappointed there were no cloths, charger, placemats or decor on the tables. So much more could be done in that regard. The Beinet’ were to dye for! I was sorry I hadn’t ordered the grouper, evidently it was just delicious. Thanks for asking.

My second time with the Double Oaks; just as wonderful as the first. But like the first time, service was slow, and in the same way:. Patrons should be acknowledged almost immediately after they are set down at their table. And soon after the drink orders are placed on their tables, servers should take their meal orders.
If anything, so others at the table don't have to hear other family members whine about how long it's taking, and hear all about how they should have gone to another restaurant across town that had better service.
I chose to to spend a special family occasion at the Double Oaks, and I am glad I did. I just wish the service would step up a bit, as described.
