Schofields has always been one of our favourites. Unfortunately, changes have left it crowded and less intimate. We were almost sitting on top of the table next to us. The music was so loud that we wouldn’t return simply because we could not speak. This is what we had heard from others also eating that evening. Our server was wonderful and pleasant however we never received the appetizers that we ordered.

The service for our dinner was excellent. The salmon dish was delicious and my partner’s escargot was similarly excellent. We very much enjoy this restaurant and the quality of food. The price is very reasonable given today’s food costs. Well done.

Excellent service however when I booked for 2, I requested the window seat. They would not honor that because it is a table for 4. The table remained empty until we were almost done, and then a couple came in with no reservation and were seated at that table. I was disappointed to say the least!!!!

Very good evening and experience. Our reservation for 12 people for my mom's birthday was easy to arrange and both the staff and food were excellent this past weekend. My beef tenderloin was very good, the pasta portions that others ordered were very good and very large portion sizes and the fish dishes (salmon and pickerel) were outstanding.

The food was good overall. My guest had the cornbeef hash and found it a bit dry but my eggs benny were fantastic. When I booked the reservation I was asked if there was an "occasion". I put that this was a university graduation (my friend in her 40's went back to school and worked very hard to earn her degree). When I asked the waitress about it, she could see that I had let you know what we were celebrating, but said that nothing is offered by the restaurant to celebrate the occasion (i.e, a free dessert, a specialty coffee, etc.). I asked her why, then, do you ask about what occasion we are celebrating, but she could not answer. That was disappointing.

I loved the crab cakes. The bruschetta was ok. My lamb shank was smothered in tomato sauce which was not listed on the menu and took away from my meal; my sides were the only part I actually enjoyed eating. I'll be more careful when I order next time by asking if there are any unlisted modifications to the meal I'm ordering... Also lights kept flickering and blender was very loud. Dessert was great. Our server was very friendly and accommodating.
