Booked via the internet to meet our daughter for lunch on what turned out to be a very busy Easter Sunday. The food was delicious, one meal was a little late coming to the table, but these things happen and we were kept fully informed and updated by the staff. The restaurant was bright and dog friendly, which was important to us. We will definitely be returning.

Really friendly staff and dog friendly. The food was excellent I had a prawn starter, duck main and we split a soufflé and a cheesecake for dessert and it was all scrumptious. Also very dog friendly. We were a party of 4 and our dog and we all said how much we enjoyed it and are looking forward to visiting again

A very unexpected find, tucked down a quiet side road - we booked off the back of positive reviews whilst looking for somewhere near Portsmouth Harbour Station to meet a friend who'd come over from the Isle of Wight and we weren't disappointed. The place was lovely, the food was great and the service was excellent. Recommended.

Food and service was excellent, as was the atmosphere. A beautifully loaded plate full of delicious roast with a yorkshire pudding bigger than my hand! A couple of others on the table opted for other dishes - equally tasty. All hot and scrumptious. Slight drawback was how cold it was in the back of the restaurant - although by the time it filled up with happy diners, it got slightly warmer. We were a table of 7, with a dog and would definitely go back. Thank you and see you soon.

Food was great. cannot complain other than, strangely, there was a lot of food! also, it was piled up so could not easily see what you had on the plate. however, cannot fault the food at all. all clean plates
Staff, although were lovely, difficult to get anyone's attention for drinks and dessert menu
was told he would bring out the dessert menus but waited ages in the end went to the bar ourselves to get attention.

We both had burgers, and they just need something else! The bread was pretty boring. There were loads of nice chips, but they need some salad, slaw, something to pep them up and make them look better on the plate, and add some ‘pop’ to the meal
I had the lamb burger…. It wasn’t great quality- ok, but not great. Very solid, heavy….
The place is looking great and I loved the food before the take over, so I really hope it doesn’t go down hill now.

The roast dinners were very good and tasty. Pudding was still frozen when brought out so wasted £8.50. Service was a bit slow despite it being quite quiet so had to chase things up. Overall though still enjoyable as the roasts were top quality so would definitely visit again
