Love the happy cheese, we go there quite often as it’s very friendly, service is great, food is lovely and its dog friendly. One of our dogs is a Great Dane and they will always try to help and put us in a corner with plenty of space for her.

Always a cheery welcome. Excellent dining areas inside and outside. Menu caters for all tastes and staff are always keen to assist with choices etc. Portions are more than plentiful and beautifully presented. Great choice of drinks + fantastic desserts.

We recently dined here on Monday where it was probably quieter than usual. A member of the bar staff took our order at the table & everything was no trouble. We travel from Fareham to go to Happy Cheese for some of our special occasions and it has never let us down. The food was spectacular. Our son certainly sends his compliments to the chef as he ate all of his children's mac cheese bowl! It is a bit pricier but we think for the quality as well as quantity you get it is worth paying that little bit extra. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. They always go above and beyond to make sure your visit is extra special. You feel valued as a customer dining here. Thank you so much for a lovely lunch. It really made our day.

It was the first time we had eaten at the Happy cheese and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect. The food was great and came out quickly even though it was busy. The bar staff were friendly and cheerful. We will definitely be coming back.
If I had to mark anything down it would be the toilets , they could do with a spruce up and a decent hand dryer!

I’m giving The Happy Cheese a good recommendation. Unfortunately after waiting 40 minutes for our food I had to remind them but it turned out to be a glitch in the iPad that was used for our order so it disappeared. The service that we then had was exceptional and they were very apologetic.

Every time we go to the happy cheese we get a good service, great food and lovely atmosphere.
My only suggestion to improve is the vehicle reg thingie . It’s at the front door and you hold people up standing at the door trying to sort your reg out .

The food was lovely and plenty of it. The young girls waiting the tables were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the guy who showed us to our seat didn’t say we had to order at the bar , so we waited for awhile thinking someone would come back to us but didn’t. So that’s the only complaint I have . Overall experience was good. Will definitely go back. Thank you.

I love coming here. The staff are friendly + welcoming + dogs are welcomed too. The good is good + l have more choices than normal - being vegetarian.
My only negative comment is that l’ve noted the prices increasing + portions decreasing e.g. the veggie lasagne is such good value but the veggie burgers are small with no side salad + only a tiny dollop of coleslaw but costs a little more.
However l guess it’s the same everywhere + overall it’s one of my favourite places for coffee or lunch. Thank you for the welcome + tolerance!

As a regular visitor to the Happy Cheese I cannot think of anything that needs changing or improving.
Staff are friendly and helpful and are always keen to 'adjust' a menu and/or suggest an alternative item etc. Menu is variable and delicious. Portions are generous and beautifully presented.

I booked a table for 4 plus dog. We made use of the pub car park and had a forest walk. Upon arrival at the pub, we were greeted with a smile. Our booking was confirmed and we were shown to our table. The selection of food. Available and drinks was more than I had anticipated. The choice of drinks ensured we all had what we wanted wine, great choice of beers and non alcoholic too. The food was really good too. We all enjoyed a main course, desert and coffee. The bill was very reasonable and a good tip hopefully showed our appreciation too. We meet for monthly walks and the Happy Cheese will now be somewhere we will revisit very soon. Well done to all the staff

Seven of had a lovely lunch at the Happy Cheese this week. Food was good and the service excellent. The Happy Cheese is on on our rota for our regular monthly lunches and we have never been diaappointed. See you soon!

We had a fabulous, friendly and kind waiter who made the evening stress free and super comfortable.
Food was absolutely amazing, and there was so much of it!
I’ve only taken one mark of ambience as by 10 o’clock there was hardly anyone in there and it felt like things were being packed up around us. However before that the ambience was perfect, warm, friendly and Christmassy!
