Frequently Asked Questions- Are you child friendly?
- Yes! We are a small family owned business and all children are welcome to stay until 11pm.
- Are you dog friendly?
- Yes! the wooden floored area of the bar is dog friendly. We do ask that there is strictly a maximum of 2 dogs per booking. And that dogs are both kept on a leash and please observe that they are not allowed on the furniture. If your usually well mannered dog is not settling we reserve the right to ask you to remove it.
- How long can I book a table for?
- We are only allowing tables to be occupied for 2 hour periods. If your table is free after your allocated time slot, you are more than welcome to stay with us for longer. Although, this cannot be guaranteed.

- What are your opening times?
- We are opening at the moment from 12pm until late. Our lunch menu is served from 12:30pm - 3:30pm and dinner is served from 5pm - 8pm. We do recommend that you book a table to avoid any disappointment.
- Can I book an outside table for drinks?
- At the moment, no. Currently we are only taking bookings for dining, and for indoor only. It is something we may look into doing at a later period, but currently we want to give everybody as much of a chance as possible to be able to grab a table and enjoy our hospitality.

The home made French Onion Soup was excellent, I am glad I decided to have a starter instead of a desert. Our mains were very good and the portions large, in the ladies found them too large. The ambiance was very good, welcoming families and dogs. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff allowed us time to enjoy our meal and have a blather in our own time. The Balavoulin is very popular and would recommend booking a table, to avoid disappointment.

We love visiting the Balavoulin when staying in Aviemore, its a great family run pub that serves brilliant food! Perfect after a day hiking or cycling up the Cairngorms. Staff are always brilliant, so happy & friendly and the food is second to none, always served in large portions and tastes great. It is slightly expensive but it definitely makes up for it in quality.

Had a fantastic night here with friends. Everything was amazing, the food, the staff and the ambiance. We were having such a great time we even had to be asked to leave at the end of the night as they were closing. Will definitely be back!!

As soon as we entered the service was excellent. Greeted by a very pleasant young man. We were given plenty time to choose what we wanted and as one of us is gluten free he checked everything was right for us. Lovely atmosphere, quality of food was excellent and really good value. We would go again and recommend anyone to go.
