The food was beautiful both in presentation and taste. Loved the decor, especially the swivel dining chairs. Lovely relaxing ambiance, including the music. Staff were welcoming and professional. Lovely to see the chefs creating! A very enjoyable lunch. Best meal out in a long time. We live in St Aubin and have a holiday cottage, have taken some of your cards, and will definitely be recommending Kyoto to my visitors. Deserves to be a huge success!

We were looking forward to our first visit to the restaurant. I’m therefore sorry to feed back that we left rather disappointed. We prefer to provide feedback in writing rather than in the moment at the restaurant & in earshot of other diners. Also by giving a written review we hope the information will reach the right individuals. Positive feedback:-
- Good lighting
- Great staff were in traditional dress & extremely polite.
- The actual taste of the food we ordered was excellent.
Not so positive feedback:-
- our table was close to the restaurant door & so we kept getting a cold blast each time it was opened. It would be good,if possible, to have some sort of screen to shield the impacted tables.
-On sitting down we were asked if we’d like water for the table & were given menus. When the waitress came to take our food order we still hadn’t been asked what drinks we’d like.
- we ordered warm crispy sushi each as starters. Whilst good sized portions, we were disappointed at the tiny amount of meat/tuna - especially given the price. Less than a centimetre probably in each one.
- one of our party ordered the monkfish as a main but was disappointed at the amount of monkfish and overall portion size.
- two of our party (including me) ordered the fillet. Surprised on arrival at the overall small plate of food we were “much” more disappointed in the quality of the fillet. It was dry & quite tough, the opposite of what we’d been looking forward to. However the sauce tasted absolutely delicious. Had the steak been up to scratch it would have been a great main.
- not much to say of the deserts of which just two to choose from- just ok.
- the whole experience felt just too rushed & fast for an evening out & for the prices being charged. As soon as starters were finished mains were in front of us & as soon as we finished mains our plates were removed & we were asked if we’d like dessert.
- very pricey overall & for which food,service & overall experience didn’t ma

We had a fantastic experience at Kyoto Prefecture and we’re keen to try this new restaurant as we live locally. It did not disappoint.
We received a warm welcome from the moment we arrived. The service was excellent and Emie was delightful, the menu choice was perfect and not overwhelming.
As we are not familiar with sushi we chose the hot food and it was absolutely melt in your mouth stunning. We will definitely be back.
This restaurant will definitely be a success in St Aubin.

Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The restaurant is lovely and clean and the decor is very nice.
We tried several different dishes and they were all lovely.
We asked if we could have more than the allocated time for our booking prior to going and that was no trouble for them at all.

We had a lovely time at Kyoto Perfecture yesterday lunch. There is a nice ambiance and the food was the best sushi we have had in Jersey.
I wish is that more people will find this gem so that it will stay open.
