Got the gluten free crust for the flatbread, and it was the best I’ve ever had! The toppings were excellent, with some really high quality prosciutto. My husband enjoyed his pasta special and we had great service from Pat who suggests some great wines. Thanks for a delicious and fun dinner!

While the place is small the charge for reservation seems unwarranted especially during the 1st few hours you are open. Our group was the only ones there for 1:30 hours and the other folks were all walk in after that. I get you don’t want to turn people away but making the online reservation seem hostile doesn’t make for good business.
Wine needed to be chilled a bit more. Our flight was warm and above recommended tasting temp.

We had such a wonderful dinner, Pat gave us exceptional top-notch service, and we really loves the Cote du Rhone that they had on the menu with our flatbread. And the kale salad with the miso dressing is such a favorite of mine. I wish I could re-create it at home.

We loved Palate and will be back. We had the sample board and it was very big with HUGE pieces of cheese. My only criticism is that I think the 3 pieces of cheese should be more varied. 2 tasted the same. We loved the quiet, private ambiance, the service was excellent. This was our first time here, and the restaurant made a great impression.

Amazing food, service and vibe, everything I look for in a restaurant. Very small so be sure to book in advance. The meat and cheese board could easily feed 4, so we took half home to leave room for salad and pizza. Serious wine abd foody outpost off the beat and path, make the effort to come here even from Kapa’a.

This small and very special restaurant in Kīlauea Town has great flatbreads, including specials on any night. Should make reservations online as the space here is very intimate. The charcuterie boards are superb also! I’ve noticed locals and visitors alike here. Amazing wine list too.

Everything tasted delicious. We also had a wine flight, 3 wines for $20. Highly recommend you visit! Make a reservation online or show up on the later side around 7:30 pm or later to get a table. Food tasted great. (the apple tart should have either been cut through or served with a knife). Waitress was great (friendly, helpful, timely with service, though I don't think she told us her name). Palate was a nice experience. The portions were big enough to share, the pizza we tried was really good. The salad we had was big enough to share. They were out of the cheese and charcuterie boards the night we went in. The service was good and the server let us try some of the wines before we picked out a bottle to have with dinner.. we also loved the ambience as it had great lighting.. we would def come back!

This was a wonderful meal! Our server was friendly and efficient. The shrimp bisque soup was delicious. We enjoyed the salad we split as well. The "flatbreads" (more like thin crust pizza) were good as well. My only complaint about the ambience is that it did get a bit noisy as it filled up. We hope to he back soon!

We had the Caesar salad which was excellent. We then had the meat lovers flatbread which was very good. And large enough for 2 of us to split. We each had a wine flight where we got 3 choices off the regular wine menu which was a great way to try different wines. Our meal was also one of the best values during our stay.

Have loved coming to this restaurant for years. This time was no different. Great food and enjoy the variety of wine selections from multiple locations around the world. My server picked perfect pairings for the dishes ordered.

Food and service were excellent in this low-key establishment. The pizzas had a wonderfully crisp crust with high quality toppings, but I would not characterize these as flatbread. For us the only weak area was the wine.
