At the Bistro, our goal is to serve great tasting food while minimizing our environmental impact. Service was attentive, ambiance was perfect with the indoor/outdoor design and the food was some of the best we have enjoyed on Kauai. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. We tried the Mac nut fish, fettuccine Alfredo, burger, gumbo also started with two delicious salads, the beet salad, and the kale salad.

The food was so great here that we went back two nights in a row. The pork chop was exceptional. The meat was so tender that you could use a fork to cut it. I had the braised beef the second night, also exceptional. Cesar salad that actually tasted like Cesar salad! So sad that I can’t frequent this restaurant regularly! I would highly recommend if you are wanting an excellent meal during your time on the North Shore.

We have been coming to Kauai for several years and only found the Bistro this year. What a shame! The food and the service were outstanding, Kara was our server on both occasions and she is wonderful. It is a bit noisy, but that only means people are having a good time. It was our anniversary so we had to go out and celebrate. We often saw we don’t go to Hawaii for the food. However, both our meals were delicious. White rice is boring next to blackened ahi. The ahi was really good but had too much sauce. The plate needed a vegetable. The Ono was also great and the sauce was perfect. We chose the slaw over rice and that was too simple. Go back to that Asian ginger slaw you had last September before the new owner took over. Now that was an amazing slaw! The Ono needed a veggie as well. If veggies are a La cart then wait staff should up sell and ask us if we wanted a veggie with our meals. We would return.
