MAYNOOTH Location - Fifteen years ago we broke the rules by cooking Thai food as it should be. Kin Khao Thai set the standard for Thai food in Ireland. Now is the time to throw away the rule book once again by introducing Isaan Thai to our new menu. At home, we enjoy food from all over Thailand. Our chefs are a tight team hailing from every region of Thailand. When we cook together, Isaan is the food of choice. It’s also the fastest growing regional Thai cuisine in Bangkok, New York, and Sydney. Isaan is a region in the North East of Thailand where the food is like no other. It’s both a joy and a challenge to eat. It’s gutsy, fermented and fiery. Each of our chefs has their own passed down family recipe or favourite comfort food from their home town. We cook, eat, and argue over each dish before it makes it to our menu! We hope you enjoy this journey into our Kin Khao Thai world.

As always an amazing experience
As the owner of the restaurant is aware of, I’ve been living anf working in Thailand for 10 years and am hence having very very high standards when it comes to the Thai food I eat outside of Thailand
Kin Khao Thai is THE only Thai restaurant I would even consider going to or ordering from as it’s they are the only ones serves food according to my standards

As always Kin Khao Thai deliver on all expectations.
I lived and worked in Thailand and am to put it bluntly just a bit picky about what I am being served in a Thai restaurant outside of Thailand.
Kin Khao Thai never disappoints and the food is as authentic as it can be.
For me the fact that they focus on food from the North-Eastern part of Thailand is also a big win.

Food was phenomenal. Only draw back was that they seemed to be out of a lot of menu items which might be a reflection of the menu being a bit too big in terms of no of mains etc. But bar the bit of back and forth when choosing something in stock, we could not fault the experience. The duck confit was perhaps the best version of this dish type I’ve seen in a long time.

Loved the restaurant decor and music - very funky & a surprise in such a suburban setting. Lovely staff. I had the fish special dish which tasted ok, but isn't very pleasant to look at (dried up fish with head attached). It is also very dry and could do with some type of sauce. The noodles were cold. We enjoyed our night out - our first in ages thanks to Covid. The menu is interesting & we'll return to taste other dishes.

It was our first time at your restaurant.we loved the decor and were very surprised. It was quiet when we were in so we got plenty of atte. We are in restaurant business ourselves and our overall experience was excellent. I personally just need to point something out.the young lady serving us had very long fancy nails which are not allowed in any part of a food business. It would also be better if she didn't give as much information about herself for her own security. We will be back as it was an enjoyable evening. Thank you

Restaurant was slightly cool but understandable in covid times. Food was impeccable and generous portions. Staff were friendly and amazing effort to adhere to new hand hygiene and social distancing measures.
