Dolly's has a new identity, a new menu and a new audience. We are still the same fab independent restaurant with cuisine made on the premises, but we now cater for a much wider audience.
So while we still offer afternoon teas, we also have a fab brunch menu, Sunday roasts, burgers, steak, pasta and much much more!
We serve beer on draft, wine, spirits and cocktails as well as fab coffee, tea and shakes.
We open into the evening on Friday and Saturday making us the perfect venue for either a romantic meal or a celebration. Also available for functions.

Booking Notes:
Welcome to Dolly's Restaurant and our new Friday and Saturday 'pop-up' Bar & Grill. Reservations can be placed for parties of up to 8 on this platform. If your party is larger, please give us a call, as we will be glad to help. Dolly's is available for private use, baby showers, celebrations, and weddings. We ask that tables reserved between 12 and 2pm are for diners only, please. Coffee and cakes are available outside of these times. Walk-ins are welcome.

Been to Dolly's a number of times for lunch. Lovely place, good service and great staff. My favourite is cheese and onion pie, have this all the time. The recipe seems to change and felt on this occasion it was different to what we normally have. Filling changed and pastry a bit underdone on the bottom. In saying that I ate it all and not a problem. Would have got a 10 normally. I would certainly continue to eat here in the future

Only drawback was the soup of the day advertised on all the boards was not what I received, but was not given any alert that it was not available. It was tasty … but I would have chosen a different option. Will be back to sample the afternoon tea next time

Nice place but put on a small table when there was plenty of space. The food was very good although the Sunday roast dinner was swimming in too much gravy. Perhaps you could provide a jug of gravy for the customer to put their own amount on. The lamb shank was beautifully cooked - just spoilt by the gravy. The selection of vegetables could have been more and where was the Yorkshire pudding ? Staff very polite and friendly. Some background music would have created more of an atmosphere - it did feel a bit flat. On the whole, we had a very pleasant experience and would like to return and visit the shop next door too.

Very busy but service still very good. Food very nice. Only 2 small things I didn't like. One was that we had the smaller afternoon tea @ £9.50 and it all came on one long plate and, when eating the cake, it was too close to the salad dressing left on my plate. And secondly, I was facing the kitchen and one of the staff had long hair loosely tied up - she should be wearing a hat of some sort.

The only thing we were disappointed with was that when we looked at the menu online we read it that we would be able to choose sandwich fillings from those listed and offered the choice of swapping the scone for cake but we weren’t given these choices. What we had was delicious though.

I love Dolly's and have been here before but I was disappointed to be told that as we had booked between 12 and 2 we had to eat food when all we wanted was a nice coffee. I booked the table online and it should be made clear upon booking. The waitress was quite rude when we had no way of possibly knowing this so just a note for the future.

First time back at Dolly's since the lockdown with my friend for a much overdue catch up. Service was great, and the staff were very warm and friendly. Food was lovely as always. The only minor complaint we had is we wanted to order something off the desert menu after our meal at 3.15pm, but were informed we could not have that item as the fire had been switched off! This was rather disappointing because closing was not until 4pm? We could have understood it if it was nearer to closing time. All in all though a great experience as always.
