The Healey Dell Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms is an Edwardian-themed charm on the banks of the River Spodden, surrounded by a stunning and scenic natural setting. In our two-vintage chandelier-lit tea rooms we serve traditional afternoon and cream teas amongst other freshly cooked home-style food. We have two outdoor sheltered areas which offer comfortable seating to circa 120 people with a bar, and a barbeque area. Muddy boots are welcome, and dog/animal friendly. Ample parking spaces for cyclists. We invite you to come and enjoy the ambience, food, natural setting and history.
Our Heritage Centre is a great starting point for local exploration and includes permanent heritage information on display and local information to take away with you.

1. If we are fully booked, your chosen day may not be available for a particular section. If so choose a different/alternative section to check availability and book. We have a total of 4 sections to choose from. Call us on 01706 350 459 if you need help.
2. All afternoon teas must be pre-booked. Dietary requirements and types of afternoon teas must be specified.
3. Booking is only confirmed when a separate confirmation email is sent by management. Venue preference cannot be guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions- What are your opening times
- We are open Thursday to Sunday and on all bank holidays from 10 am till 5 pm
- Do you need to pre-book Traditional Afternoon Tea's
- Yes, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for afternoon teas and large order bookings (in excess of 10 people) will require a week's notice. Dietary requirements and type of afternoon tea's must be specified at the time of booking.
- Do you have disabled access and toilet facilities?
- Yes we do have disabled access, disabled parking and disabled toilet facilities.
- Do you allow muddy boots and dogs inside your tearooms
- Yes, muddy boots and dogs are allowed in certain sections of the tearoom. The venue is dog and horse friendly.
- Do you cater to Vegetarian, Vegan, and special dietary requirements i.e. gluten free, etc.,

- Weekends are usually busy, so we would recommend booking. Otherwise, you can take chance and walk in but there may be a small waiting time to be seated. We have a capacity for approximately 200 guests.

It was all excellent. You catered for our allergies with patience and empathy. The food was all delicious especially the quiche. The friendly service was excellent. We felt welcome. This was a birthday treat to a friend and she really enjoyed the afternoon tea. The staff went out of their way to make it special, presenting a slice of chocolate cake with a candle whilst singing happy birthday which was a pleasant surprise to her. All in all it was lovely all round. Food lovely , couldn’t finish it all do all of us came away with boxed cakes. We will be booking again for our Christmas lunch .

I asked for a table down stairs but was told that we had to go upstairs as they were fully booked downstairs. I have trouble getting up and down stairs but I couldn’t really complain as we did change the original booking for a later date. Maybe a chairlift could be of help

Lovely setting and the outdoor area is ideal when you have a soggy 4 legged friend with you.
Some cushion options for the seats would help for longer stays as we did for the afternoon teas.
Afternoons teas are excellent and catering for Coeliac and vegetarian members of the party was no bother.

Overall great experience we really enjoyed it. We'd booked to sit in the piano room but we were seated outside, we didn't mind as it was a nice day. The waitress was unsure about the voucher/what was included etc so that needs to be improved. The food was nice and the setting is beautiful, we will visit again.

We would have liked food from the main menu as well. We were told of this beforehand.
We enjoyed the afternoon tea.
We felt a bit rushed at the end. it was the end of a busy day for the staff.
The afternoon tea was £6 more than any another day, too much.

Such a special place to me. The staff are so lovely, and you can tell it’s a place they care about. The afternoon tea was delicious. Especially the quiche. A place full of history and mystery. Lots of info here if your not familiar with the area. A little chilly so wrap up, but is a very old historical building.

The service was good but it was clear they were busy and in a rush to clear plates when we weren’t finished- understandable because it was Mother’s Day

Healey Dell Heritage Tea Rooms is a most unusual venue. Unfortunately, when we visited the Heritage Room for lunch we found the room to be cold and everyone had to keep their outdoor coats on which was a shame. This was despite there being a cast iron heater placed in the centre of the room. Maybe we had arrived when the central heating had failed? My meat and potato pie meal was hot and tasty. The fruit scones served with jam and clotted cream were delicious but the price of the tea and coffee I thought expensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the service itself was incredibly slow.

I got the deal on a groupon for the gold afternoon tea so it was half price (£25 pp) but if I paid full price I would have been very disappointed. The bread was slightly stale, gold chocolates were Cadbury milk tray with gold leaf added and the scone was very dry. Quiche was lovely though. Service was ok although the waitress started sweeping up around our table while we were still eating. Overall it was just ok.
