Excellent French Bistro

My wife and I agree that Mon Ami Gabi is our favorite Las Vegas restaurant. We enjoy the French onion soup and the view of the Bellagio fountains from the patio. I recently made a solo trip to Las Vagas, and after taking advantage of the latest Stratophere thrill of jumping off of the top attached to a cable, I headed straight to Mon Am Gabi for a great dinner. I sat at the intimate bar just inside the entrance. The bartender was delightful and entertaining. It was as if we bar patrons were having our own party. I ordered the petite salad maison and the steak classique and an irresistable second martini. The salad was delightfully fresh, and I savored every bite of the superb cut of meat. Hand-cut frites were a perfect complement. Two years ago, my wife attended a cousin's birthday luncheon in Mon Ami Gabi's private dining room. The family had a memorable experience (and it wasn't too expensive). Although Mon Ami Gabi is a bit pricey, dollar for dollar it's likely to bring you more joy than the slots. Amazing French cuisine

Food is high quality with the views to go with it. You will be lucky to get an outside table over looking the fountains. Prices are reasonable apart from the liquor we had at the end (shockingly priced). Wine reasonable but for me it was all about the food and the taste was up there with the best in Vegas

Best restaurant in Vegas!

I love everything about this place (but the prices)! To start with, they have the best French onion soup anywhere. It's just amazing. The bread is awesome as well and they give you as many loaves as you want. As far as the steaks go, they have strip steaks that are incredibly tasty and affordable at $23.95, but some thicker cuts as well like a T-Bone or a rib-eye for $39.95. In Vegas, those are good values for a nice place. They have a variety of sauces for the steaks and my favorite is the caramelized onion sauce, which is excellent. Some people like the thin-cut frites, others don't. Me personally, I like them a lot and they give you a monster portion of them with your entrees, so you won't leave this place hungry, for sure. My only complaint was that our waiter, who was friendly and attentive for most of the meal, forgot about us from the time our entrees arrived until it was time for the bill, and he didn't ask us how everything was. There wouldn't have been any complaints, believe me, but it would've been nice to see him. It was a busy Saturday night though. I bet the place has some excellent desserts (it's a French restaurant after all) but we were too full to find out.

Magnifique'

I recently had two meals at Mon Ami Gabi. The first was for dinner and the second for breakfast. Both meals were fantastic! From the wait staff to the presentation and the meals themselves, every aspect was on target. (The noise level inside for dinner made it difficult to hear others across my table.) I particularly enjoyed breakfast in the outdoor portion of the restaurant. Calm and serene. Simply magnifique!

Very pleased.....AGAIN!!!

I came here for the first time during SEMA in 2007 and was really blown away by Mon Ami Gabi's ambiance, value, service, and quality. That time, I had an awesome Hanger Steak with red-wine shallot sauce. For today, we visited with friends for brunch. We timed our visit perfectly as the sun had just peaked and was warming us nicely on their patio, which overlooks Las Vegas Blvd. and the Bellagio fountains. The waitstaff was very eager to accommodate us and seated us promptly. A runner quickly followed to offer us various waters and a fresh, hot baguette. Our waiter came shortly after with nice recommendations on beverages and meal options. I selected their fresh oysters and ordered a side of frites. I also asked if I could be served some aioli with my frites, which did not appear on the menu. He confidently accepted my request. During our time before the meal, our waters were consistently refreshed. The waiter had made a couple visits back to our table to check our status and engage us in conversation. He was a wealth of knowledge for his entire menu and seemed very confident in his offerings. When our meals arrived, they all arrived together, and were tabled very quickly. My oysters were served with fresh horseradish, seafood sauce, a viniagrette with chopped red onion, and a lemon wedge. They were crisp and very flavorful. I'd rate them an 8.5 out of 10. Mon Ami Gabi is a little on the pricey side for the food, but service was accommodating and knowledgeable. The food seemed very fresh and was prepared excellently. I will be back again on my next trip!

Watch the Bellagio fountains!

Whatever you do, sit outside and watch the Bellagio fountains! The food was good and so was the service. I had the filet mignon...it was good. But the atmosphere alone makes up for anything the food may lack!

Best part was the view

You are paying for the view of the Bellagio fountains. My meal was the worst piece of tuna I have had in years. $75/pp including a drink was not worth the money.
