A delightful experience: the service was impeccable, the owner and staff absolutely lovely and attentive, and the place in itself - both in terms of location, decor and attention to detail - was stunning. Food quality excellent, as well as the selection of teas, and the price very reasonable considering what is offered. Special mention for the playlist: it really enhanced the atmosphere. Thank you so much for making this already special day (citizenship ceremony) even more perfect! I will be back and have already told everyone I know about Candella.

My daughter and I are not tea drinkers. The two gentlemen were patient and helped us make great tea choices. It was an overall positive experience and a great time spent with my daughter. The lower rating of food is only because we are not seafood eaters otherwise great choices of food.

Wonderful staff and very tasty food. Small and intimate. Well presented and lovely American standard music playing softly in the background. Dining alone, the manager was chatting with me throughout, thoughtfully engaging me in conversation. They also wrote directions to the nearest Tube station and gave me some wonderful ideas for off the beaten track sites…like Temple Church. It isn’t the cheapest option out there, but who can put a price on a truly wonderful experience?

It was the classic tea experience I was hoping for. Food was delicious and the setting was lovely. The staff are very sweet. I watched a much older woman enter and ask if she could just have some tea. They fit her in between reservations and she was so pleased. Will definitely return again.

An utterly fantastic place to enjoy the English tradition of tea or afternoon tea in a charming space quite close to Kensington Palace at a fraction of the tariff charged by the bigger name, glitzy venues. I was looking for a magical place. I searched for weeks. Candella was the most perfect spot for a teatime for me. The food is gorgeous; the service is exquisite. Candella Tea Room was excellent. There are only 8 to 10 tables in this cozy tea room so make a reservation. The afternoon tea is filling and is enough for a full meal. We had a great experience and Marcus went out of his way to ensure we were completely satisfied.

It was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Marcus took care of us (4) as well as the other guests and never skipped a beat. He was cordial and courteous. The food and tea were fresh and satisfying (and pretty). The ambience was bright and comfortable. Afterwards as we were leaving the restaurant Marcus gave us exact directions to our final destination. We highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a great afternoon tea.

We were told to have tea at some of the most famous and iconic afternoon tea spots, but my daughter found this tea room and chose it. We were not disappointed. The service was amazing as well as the offerings. We loved the whole experience!
