A fully vegan roasts in London at The Black Heart every Sunday served from 12-8pm (last booking 7:15pm)! And fully vegan Brunches every Saturday served from 12-5pm (last booking 4pm)
Bookings only available via here - If we have walk inns available we will post up on our instagram / Facebook - If you cannot get booked into a time you would like please check later times / try another week.
The Black Heart is a heavy music venue based in central Camden,
On a Sunday we try to have a more relaxed vibe but please note although we can have under 18's until 7pm we do not have child changing facilities or high chairs to accommodate, so please take that into consideration whilst booking.
If you have any food allergies please put a note in the booking (esp if gluten free so we can hold back our GF option for you)
On our busier times there can be a wait of an hour due to the size of kitchen, we apologise for that as we try to keep the wait to a minimum.
Please note the maximum amount of people you can book for a roast is 6 people, we cannot accommodate for more due to the size of the kitchen.
We hold the table for 15 minutes - if later unfortunately the table will made available for walk inns.
We also operate as a live music venue, so keep in mind that if booking after 6.00pm we will have live events in our upstairs venue and your environment will be a little noisier.
We are dog friendly, any other requests please put in notes or drop us an email.

Went to Black Heart for the Sunday roast before a gig and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious and well presented. The new special southern fried chicken was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend anyone try the roast or anything that comes from LD’s kitchen!

Best vegan roast I have ever had. Attention to detail in all aspects of the meal was phenomenal - from the actually crispy roast potatoes (harder to find than you'd expect in London) to the 'crispy pork belly' tofu at the centre. The mustard leeks I've not seen anywhere else and I'd have ordered triple the amount if I could have. AND there's a gluten free option! AND there's vegan yorkies (not GF)! A dream come true. Not to mention the staff are all angels, I felt welcomed from the moment I arrived and they even offered to move seating around so we could keep our table a bit longer. To be honest I am heartbroken I have only just found out about this place but I can rest happy knowing it's easy to return. Thanks for making our Sunday!

The absolutely the best and most delicious vegan Sunday roast I've ever had! I ordered the Roast Pork Tofu Belly & Crackling and my sister had the Roast Mocken Breast. Both equally delish! Only negative, the crackling was super salty. The Black Heart stinks of stale beer, but adds to the rocker vibe. Service is no frills, but everyone there was nice. I will definitely go back for more!

Really excellent roast, the best vegan roast I’ve ever had I would say. Staff were super friendly. The wait was quite long but we were warned about this on arriving and offered a free round of drinks as compensation.
I recommend wholeheartedly and we will definitely return.

Great food, took five non-vegans and they were all impressed with the food. Food itself is great value, drinks not so much. All the staff were really nice and sound. Only issues was the length of time taken for the food to arrive. Sat for ages before any updates then told it would be five minutes before then being told a couple minutes a fair bit after that. And another for one of our party ordering the beef but receiving the chicken - which he decided to take rather than wait given the time we'd already waited. I've been before and enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere and would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed the Sunday roast! Personally, we found there to be too many flavours on the plate - we both most of the mustard greens as they were very strong and there were quite a lot of them. The potatoes were glorious, loved the Yorkshire pudding (could have been a bit crispier but overall great!), the chicken sub was delicious and we loved the purée!

Loved that it was dog friendly. The menu sounded good. The bbq cauliflower was disappointing - no breadcrumbs on top and taste was mediocre. The pork was lovely, particularly the skin. The leeks, mash, yorkie and gravy were tasty. Some roast
potatoes were lovely, others needed more crisping. The carrot was a little hard and disappointing.
Overall I enjoyed the meal and would come back.
Service was just ok, we were seated quickly. No one came back to check if we were happy with our meal or needed anything else.

I went on a Sunday and ordered pork roast. I think we waited for a good hour before the food came. Then when it came it didn't look very healthy but I guess that's what a roast is. I ate only half of my plate as I didn't feel like eating greasy carby foods. Might try again on another day.

The food was amazing - I’ve never had such a good vegan Yorkshire pudding! Whilst the staff were really friendly, polite and chatty, it did take 50 minutes for our food to arrive at the table (hence the low service score). Can’t fault the team though, a lovely bunch!
