My friends and I visited "Mithras Turkish Mediterranean Restaurant" for the second time. All the food was incredibly tender and flavorful. We went with some friends and picked Mithras because the online reviews were good and it was very close to Fairfield Concert Hall. We were all very pleased that we did, as it certainly didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, quickly moving us all to a bigger table when a friend turned up unexpectedly and with a minimum of fuss. The food was also excellent and there was plenty of it - We all had something different and everyone was really pleased with their selections. Sadly, after finishing the mains none of us had room for a desert. If you are hungry and fancy some really tasty Turkish food for a reasonable price, we would highly recommend Mithras.

We decided to try out the Mithras restaurant for our team lunch as they are now open at lunchtime. We ate from the normal menu rather then the lunch menu, which did look excellent value. The food was fantastic, tasty and freshly cooked. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful and the portions were huge. We had a really great time and will be returning soon.

Overall it was a good experience and the food was lovely with good service. I had the mixed grill/kebab which came with a side salad and rice. One person can eat it, but would be enough for two if you choose to share. It was delicious. Virgin cocktails are a bit pricey at £6, should be more like like £4/4.50. I was looking forward to dessert and ordered the sutlac. As nice as it was, on the menu it was described as having lemon zest topped with pistachio nuts and pomegranate. What came out was just a plain bowl of white rice pudding with a brown topping. Nothing like what was described. I was a little underwhelmed given the description, especially as it costs roughly the same as the virgin cocktail. The menu on the website also needs updating, as it advertises different dishes and prices (lower) compared to the ones in the restaurant.

Really friendly staff, very patient dealing with a big group. Had to ask for tap water 3/4 times but was met with sincere apologies each time asked. That would be me picking at something to complain about Food well presented and tasted good. Group of 8- with starters- two platters and some extra sides, mains, Turkish tea after ended up as £33 per person.

It was a Wednesday lunchtime when I ate at Mithras and the place was not busy, so the ambiance was quiet. But the lunch was good, and the restaurant is conveniently located very close to East Croydon station.
