Classic LA haunt with fantastic drinks; from classic tiki to original in-house creations. The bartenders this night could have used some soft skill training, like acknowledging those waiting to order with a simple, “I’ll be right with you” instead of ignoring them until they were ready to take the order.

The Tonga Hut in Hollywood is my favorite tiki bar in the world, I don't know what else to say after that. The ambience is amazing, the drinks are always on point, the service is good. We didn't have food so I can't rate that but... I don't go there for food, I go for tropical drinks in a relaxing atmosphere. Like I said, it's the best for that.

I love the Tonga Hut. Love the staff, ambience, service & the cocktail quality. However, I didn't like The Tiki Dog I ate. It didn't match what was described & was not good. Also, the QR code menu prices were lower (for the Tiki Dog items) than what my receipt showed. I paid for my friend's food order too & it was more expensive than expected. The Tiki Dog staff member offered a paper menu, but I declined thinking the digital one was accurate. Maybe the paper copy was accurate; though, I have no idea. The Tiki Dog staff member was helpful & nice. Just a pricing issue & not a fan of the food options. My friend didn't enjoy her food items either. I much prefer Durangos Tacos. Love them! I will return regardless. Just wanted to share.

We had a great time at the Tonga Hut! I know the parking lot thing is temporary, but it was actually nice in a way. It's nice not having to fight for a seat in a bar and having people be all over you. But we are looking forward to seeing the inside decor at some point in the future. Waitresses were great! I enjoyed myself quite a bit at the Tonga Hut. It was raining outside and we were in the Lanai, which is spacious and nice. There was a group nearby who started smoking weed, and one of our party has an allergy, so we needed to leave. Otherwise, we had a really good time.

I really enjoyed that all safety procedures and QR code were clearly labelled up front before you even entered. Appreciate the hostess was informative and worked with getting 2 separate reservations into 1 table. The only thing that I noticed is how quickly the 1hr and 30mins went by. By the time I ordered my 2nd drink they put in the order but it was right before closing, they accidentally initially double charged us, but the server remedied that since we only got the initial drinks, not 2nd round. You've done a great job and the patio looks amazing!!!
