A cozy Italian inspired restaurant established in 2009 in the heart of Riverwest. We’re very passionate about our food; our menu changes seasonally and features a wide range of Italian inspired dishes, including pasta, seafood, salads, and unique pizzas. We’re well known for our gluten free and vegan options, nearly every pasta dish and every pizza is available gluten free. Our food is super fresh and we use local ingredients whenever possible. We also offer a fantastic dessert menu for the cherry on top of your experience. Our exclusively Italian wine list offers rich and varied selections from small producers and family vineyards. I absolutely love Centro Cafe! The staff is delightful and professional. I enjoy your wine list. I always get the same dish, the gnudi. While still good, there is no longer the salty, chewy chunks of pancetta in the dish. And I was very disappointed that espresso is no longer available, so no affogato. Still a great place!

There was only one small thing that I would note. I ordered the Pepe e Cacio and the scallops were perfect. However, the linguine and sauce had cooled off a bit…maybe as the scallops cooked? It was delicious, but would have preferred it warmer. Otherwise, the whole night great as usual.

I was at Centro twice in the past few days for a search committee I was part of. It seemed like the food quality was not up to the usual excellence. The lasagne was burned and a very small portion (per my guest) the giardiniera had no kick and was full of celery...not the usual yum. Gnudi was a bit overcooked as well. Can’t believe this was my first time. Our group enjoyed the prosciutto wrapped asparagus (definitely recommend), and an array of pasta dishes. We all enjoyed everything. Service and ambience were fabulous as well!

It was a joy to find this gem of a restaurant in the heart of Riverwest. Our server was warm, friendly, and very informative. The food was fresh, tasty, and rich and the suggested wine was perfect. We will definitely be back!
